Pyometra tertutup merupakan gangguan reproduksi pada kucing betina yang ditandai dengan penumpukan nanah di dalam uterus akibat infeksi bakteri dan dapat mengancam jiwa apabila tidak segera ditangani. tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi klinis, perawatan pasca operasi, terapi yang diberikan, serta perkembangan pemulihan kucing misdomestik dengan pyometra tertutup setelah tindakan ovariohisterektomi di alfa animal clinic banda aceh. metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus melalui observasi langsung terhadap seekor kucing misdomestik betina berumur 1,5 tahun dengan berat badan 3,2 kg. data diperoleh melalui anamnesis, pemeriksaan klinis, in pemeriksaan hematologi dan ultrasonografi usg, serta pemantauan selama masa perawatan. hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan pasien mengalami peningkatan suhu tubuh dan frekuensi respirasi, penurunan nafsu makan, letargi, dehidrasi ringan, serta pembesaran uterus yang berisi cairan sehingga didiagnosis mengalami pyometra tertutup. perawatan pasca operasi meliputi monitoring kondisi umum, perawatan luka, pemberian antibiotik amoksisilin, analgesik meloksikam, terapi cairan, antiseptik povidone iodine, pakan recovery, serta penerapan biosecurity. selama masa perawatan kondisi pasien menunjukkan perbaikan yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya nafsu makan, aktivitas kembali normal, dan penyembuhan luka operasi tanpa tanda infeksi maupun dehiscence. dapat disimpulkan bahwa perawatan pasca operasi yang tepat dan intensif setelah tindakan ovariohisterektomi mampu mempercepat proses penyembuhan serta mencegah terjadinya komplikasi pada kucing misdomestik dengan pyometra tertutup.

Closed pyometra is a reproductive disorder in female cats characterized by the accumulation of pus within the uterus due to bacterial infection and may become life-threatening if not treated promptly. This final project aimed to evaluate the postoperative care of a domestic cat with closed pyometra following ovariohysterectomy at Alfa Animal Clinic, Banda Aceh. A case study method was employed through direct observation of a 1.5-year-old female domestic cat weighing 3.2 kg. Data were collected through history taking, physical examination, hematological and ultrasonographic (USG) examinations, and continuous monitoring during the recovery period. The patient presented with increased body temperature and respiratory rate, decreased appetite, lethargy, mild dehydration, and uterine enlargement filled with fluid, confirming the diagnosis of closed pyometra. Postoperative management included routine monitoring, wound care, administration of amoxicillin, meloxicam, fluid therapy, povidone-iodine antiseptic treatment, recovery diet, and implementation of biosecurity measures. The patient’s condition improved progressively, as indicated by increased appetite, normal activity, and complete wound healing without signs of infection or wound dehiscence. It can be concluded that appropriate and intensive postoperative care following ovariohysterectomy effectively accelerates recovery and prevents postoperative complications in domestic cats with closed pyometra.
