(skripsi. departemen pendidikan kesejahteraan keluarga, fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas syiah kuala). dibawah bimbingan dra. fitriana, m. si dan dra. rosmala dewi, m.pd. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan menjahit dengan prestasi akademik siswa kelas xi program keahlian tata busana di smk negeri 3 langsa. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. populasi penelitian berjumlah 70 siswa, sedangkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 41 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus slovin. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes keterampilan menjahit dan dokumentasi nilai prestasi akademik siswa. instrumen penelitian telah memenuhi syarat validitas dan reliabilitas dengan nilai cronbach’s alpha sebesar 0,966. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, korelasi pearson product moment, uji t, dan koefisien determinasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan menjahit dengan prestasi akademik siswa, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,978 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai t hitung sebesar 29,22 lebih besar daripada t tabel sebesar 2,023, sehingga hipotesis alternatif diterima. selain itu, hasil koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menjahit memberikan kontribusi sebesar 95,6% terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif, signifikan, dan sangat kuat antara keterampilan menjahit dengan prestasi akademik siswa kelas xi program keahlian tata busana di smk negeri 3 langsa. semakin tinggi keterampilan menjahit yang dimiliki siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula prestasi akademik yang diperoleh. kata kunci: keterampilan menjahit, prestasi akademik, tata busana, korelasi, siswa smk.

Khairun Nisa (2026). The Correlation Between Sewing Skills and Academic Achievement of Eleventh-Grade Students in the Fashion Design Program at SMK Negeri 3 Langsa. This study aimed to determine the correlation between sewing skills and the academic achievement of eleventh-grade students in the Fashion Design Program at SMK Negeri 3 Langsa. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 70 students, while the sample comprised 41 students selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a sewing skills assessment and documentation of students' academic achievement scores. The research instrument met the requirements of validity and reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.966. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, linearity tests, Pearson Product Moment correlation, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed a significant correlation between sewing skills and students’ academic achievement, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.978 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The t-test result indicated that the calculated t-value (29.22) was higher than the t-table value (2.023), indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination revealed that sewing skills contributed 95.6% to students’ academic achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a positive, significant, and very strong correlation between sewing skills and academic achievement among eleventh-grade students in the Fashion Design Program at SMK Negeri 3 Langsa. The higher the students’ sewing skills, the higher their academic achievement tends to be. Keywords: sewing skills, academic achievement, fashion design, correlation, vocational high school.
