[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr. drs. anwar, m.pd., dan dewi annisa, s.pd., m.pd. kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah, khususnya dalam menyampaikan dan menjelaskan ide matematika. hal ini disebabkan pembelajaran yang belum melibatkan siswa secara aktif. oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menerapkan model reciprocal teaching yang di mana model ini mendorong siswa dalam berkomunikasi secara aktif selama proses pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui penerapan model reciprocal teaching di kelas xi sman 12 banda aceh. penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian kuantitatif, jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ialah pre-experimental design dengan jenis one-group pre-test-post-test. populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas xi ipa sman 12 banda aceh yang terdiri dari tiga kelas. dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terpilih kelas xi ipa 1 dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang sebagai sampel pada penelitian ini. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching dianalisis menggunakan uji-t pihak kanan. pada taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh bahwa t-hitung > t-tabel (12,19 > 1,703) yang berarti tolak ho dan terima h₁. oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model reciprocal teaching lebih baik. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model reciprocal teaching dalam pembelajaran terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi lingkaran di sman 12 banda aceh. oleh karena itu, guru dapat menggunakan model ini dalam proses pembelajarannya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. kata kunci: reciprocal teaching, komunikasi matematis, lingkaran.

Sinta Kusuma. (2026). The Implementation of the Reciprocal Teaching Model to Improve Mathematical Communication Skills of Eleventh-Grade High School Students. [Skripsi. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Supervised by Dr. Drs. Anwar, M.Pd., and Dewi Annisa, S.Pd., M.Pd. Students' mathematical communication skills are still relatively low, especially in conveying and explaining mathematical ideas. This is due to learning that has not actively involved students. Therefore, this study applies the reciprocal teaching model where this model encourages students to communicate actively during the learning process. This study aims to analyze significant improvements in students' mathematical communication skills through the application of the reciprocal teaching model in class XI of SMAN 12 Banda Aceh. This study is categorized as quantitative research, the type of research used in the study is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test type. The population of this study was all students of class XI IPA SMAN 12 Banda Aceh consisting of three classes. By using a random sampling technique, class XI IPA 1 with a total of 28 students was selected as the sample in this study. Data collection was carried out using a mathematical communication ability test instrument. Students' mathematical communication skills before and after receiving learning with the reciprocal teaching model were analyzed using a right-tailed t-test. At a significance level of 5%, it was found that t-count > t-table (12.19 > 1.703) which means reject Ho and accept H₁. Therefore, it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills after receiving learning using the reciprocal teaching model are better. This study shows that the application of the reciprocal teaching model in learning is proven to improve students' mathematical communication skills on circle material at SMAN 12 Banda Aceh. Therefore, teachers can use this model in their learning process to improve students' mathematical communication skills. Keywords: Reciprocal Teaching, Mathematical Communication, Circle.
