(2026). pengaruh pembelajaran fisika berbasis interactive lecture demonstration (ild) dengan simulasi phet terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa sma. skripsi. fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas syiah kuala. dibawah bimbingan prof. dr. a. halim, m.si., dan dr. drs. elmi mahzum, m.it. rendahnya pemahaman konsep fisika siswa di sekolah menengah masih menjadi permasalahan, yang dipengaruhi dominasi metode ceramah dan minimnya media belajar yang mampu memvisualisasikan konsep abstrak. berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian, rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa hanya mencapai 39,7, jauh di bawah kkm 75. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran fisika berbasis interactive lecture demonstration (ild) dengan simulasi phet terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa sma. ild dengan simulasi phet memiliki keunggulan karena menghadirkan demonstrasi interaktif yang memungkinkan siswa membuat prediksi, mengamati fenomena secara visual, dan merefleksikan hasilnya, sehingga lebih mendukung konstruksi pemahaman konsep. penelitian menggunakan quasi-experimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group pada dua kelas xii, di mana kelas eksperimen mendapat pembelajaran ild berbantuan phet dan kelas kontrol mendapat ild tanpa phet. data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest–posttest dan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, dan n-gain. hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas dengan nilai t_hitung = 4,345 > t_tabel = 2,011. nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,58 (kategori sedang), lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,30 (kategori rendah). dengan demikian, pembelajaran ild berbantuan simulasi phet terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. kata kunci: interactive lecture demonstration (ild), pemahaman konsep, pembelajaran fisika dan simulasi phet.

Chinta Tiara. (2026). The Effect of Physics Instruction Using Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILD) with PhET Simulations on High School Students’ Understanding of Physics Concepts. Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. A. Halim, M.Si., and Dr. Drs. Elmi Mahzum, M.IT. The low level of high school students’ understanding of physics concepts remains a problem, influenced by the dominance of lecture-based methods and the lack of learning media capable of visualizing abstract concepts. Based on the results of a preliminary study, the average level of students’ conceptual understanding was only 39.7, far below the minimum passing score of 75. This study aims to determine the effect of physics instruction based on Interactive Lecture Demonstration (ILD) with PhET simulations on high school students’ understanding of physics concepts. ILD with PhET simulations has advantages because it provides interactive demonstrations that allow students to make predictions, observe phenomena visually, and reflect on the results, thereby better supporting the construction of conceptual understanding. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group across two 12th grade classes, where the experimental class received ILD instruction assisted by PhET and the control class received ILD without PhET. Data were collected via pretest–posttest tests and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t tests, and N-gain. The results showed a significant difference between the two classes with a calculated t-value of 4.345 > table t-value of 2.011. The N-gain value for the experimental class was 0.58 (moderate category), higher than that of the control class at 0.30 (low category). Thus, ILD learning supported by PhET simulations has been shown to have a significant impact on improving students’ understanding of physics concepts.
