Penelitian ini didasarkan dengan permasalahan perkembangan media sosial khususnya tiktok telah menciptakan ruang interasksi yang memungkinkan penggunanya berkomunikasi secara bebas melalui fitur komentar. namun, kebebasan ini memunculkan fenomena komentar yang mengarah pada catcalling sebagai bentuk pelecehan verbal yang sering dikemas dalam bentuk candaan dan pujian. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terkait catcalling di akun tiktok @nichosaputranugraha yang dianalisis melalui dimensi kognitif, afektif, dan konatif berdasarkan teori persepsi sosial. penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur dengan jumlah infroman sebanyak empat mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran universitas syiah kuala. data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dimensi kognitif, informan memiliki pemahaman bahwa catcalling merupakan bentuk pelecehan seksual yang tidak dapat dinormalisasikan. pada dimensi afektif, informan menunjukkan respons negatif, seperti perasaan tidak nyaman, terganggu, dan tidak menyukai komentar yang mengarah pada catcalling. terakhir pada dimensi konatif, informan menunjukkan indakan nyata sebagai bentuk penolakan terhadap komentar tersebut dengan melaporkan, menghapus, memblokir akun pelaku atau mengabaikan komentar tersebut. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi negatif terkait komentar yang mengarah pada catcalling di akun tiktok @nichosaputranugraha. persepsi tersebut terlihat dari pemahaman, perasaan dan tindakan untuk tidak menormalisasikan perilaku tersebut. kata kunci: persepsi, mahasiswa, catcalling, media sosial, tiktok.

This research is based on the problem of the development of social media, especially TikTok, which has created an interactive space that allows its users to communicate freely through the comment feature. However, this freedom has given rise to the phenomenon of comments that lead to catcalling as a form of verbal harassment often packaged in the form of jokes and compliments. This study aims to determine how students perceive catcalling on the TikTok account @nichosaputranugraha, analyzed through cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions based on social perception theory. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection technique used semi-structured interviews with four students from the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University. The data obtained were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that in the cognitive dimension, informants have an understanding that catcalling is a form of sexual harassment that cannot be normalized. In the affective dimension, informants showed negative responses, such as feelings of discomfort, annoyance, and dislike of comments that lead to catcalling. Finally, in the conative dimension, informants showed concrete actions as a form of rejection of these comments by reporting, deleting, blocking the perpetrator's account, or ignoring the comments. This research shows that students have a negative perception of comments that lead to catcalling on the TikTok account @nichosaputranugraha. This perception is reflected in their understanding, feelings, and actions to avoid normalizing such behavior. Keywords: Perception, Students, Catcalling, Social Media, TikTok.
