Abstrak judul : pengaruh produktivitas padi, investasi dalam negeri, dan indeks pembangunan manusia terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi tingkat provinsi di pulau sumatera penulis : ghina qanaya effendie nim : 2201101010072 fakultas/jurusan : ekonomi dan bisnis/ekonomi pembangunan pembimbing : 1. dr. muhammad nasir, s.e., m.si., m.a 2. amri, s.si., m.si konsentrasi : ekonomi regional dan perkotaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh produktivitas padi, investasi dalam negeri, dan indeks pengembangan manusia (ipm) terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di provinsi pulau sumatera. data yang digunakan berupa data panel 10 provinsi di sumatera selama periode 2020-2024. metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan pendekatan fixed effect model (fem) setelah melalui uji spesifikasi model (uji chow dan uji hausman). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas padi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, investasi dalam negeri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, serta ipm berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di provinsi pulau sumatera. temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan produktivitas padi belum mampu memberikan kontribusi optimal terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi karena rendahnya nilai tambah sektor pertanian, sementara investasi dalam negeri dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui ipm mampu mendorong aktivitas produksi dan kapasitas ekonomi daerah. oleh karena itu, pemerintah disarankan untuk lebih memprioritaskan peningkatan investasi dalam negeri melalui pembangunan infrastruktur dan kemudahan berusaha, serta meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui pendidikan, kesehatan, dan pelatihan keterampilan. sementara itu, pada sektor pertanian, khususnya produktivitas padi, diperlukan evaluasi terhadap rendahnya kontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui penguatan nilai tambah, modernisasi teknologi, dan pengembangan hilirisasi hasil pertanian. kata kunci: pertumbuhan ekonomi, produktivitas padi, investasi ========....dalam negeri, indeks pembangunan manusia.

Amri, S.Si., M.Si Consentration : Regional Economic This study aims to analyze the effects of rice productivity, domestic investment, and the Human Development Index (HDI) on economic growth in the provinces of Sumatra Island. The data used consists of panel data from 10 provinces Sumatra for the period 2020-2024. The analysis method employed is panel data regression with the fixed effects model (FEM) approach, following model specification tests (Chow test and Hausman test). The results indicate that rice productivity has a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth, domestic investment has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, and the HDI has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in the provinces of Sumatra Island. These findings suggest that increases in rice productivity have not yet optimally contributed to economic growth due to the low value added in the agricultural sector, while domestic investment and improvements in human capital quality through the HDI effectively drive production activities and economic capacity. Therefore, the government is advised to prioritize increasing domestic investment through infrastructure development and business facilitation, as well as improving the quality of human resources through education, healthcare, and skills training.
