Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas iv sd negeri 1 pagar air aceh besar pada materi perkalian, khususnya perkalian bersusun panjang dan pendek, menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa masih belum optimal. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan realistic mathematics education (rme) dengan blok dienes terhadap hasil belajar siswa. pendekatan rme mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan situasi nyata melalui tahapan situational, model of, model for, dan formal knowledge, sedangkan blok dienes digunakan sebagai media konkret untuk membantu memahami nilai tempat dan proses perkalian. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis pre-experimental dan desain one group pretest-posttest design. sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa kelas iv. teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pretest dan posttest, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji paired sample t-test. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest siswa sebesar 58,4 meningkat menjadi rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 79,6 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan pendekatan rme berbantuan blok dienes terhadap hasil belajar siswa. dampak penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang mengaitkan konteks nyata dan penggunaan media konkret dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. oleh karena itu, disarankan agar guru menerapkan pendekatan rme berbantuan blok dienes dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara lebih optimal.

The low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air Aceh Besar on multiplication, especially long and short multiplication, indicate that students' conceptual understanding is still not optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by Dienes Blocks on student learning outcomes. The RME approach links mathematical concepts to real situations through the stages of situational, model of, model for, and formal knowledge, while Dienes Blocks are used as concrete media to help understand place value and the multiplication process. This study uses a quantitative approach with a PreExperimental type and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample was 25 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through pretest and posttest tests, while data analysis used normality tests and paired sample t-tests. The results of the study showed that the average pretest score of students was 58.4, increasing to an average posttest score of 79.6 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), so there is a significant influence of the application of the RME approach assisted by Dienes Blocks on student learning outcomes. The impact of this study shows that learning that links real contexts and the use of concrete media can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers apply the RME approach assisted by Dienes Blocks in learning to improve student learning outcomes more optimally.
