Abstrak umi khotimah (2026). proses pembuatan papan bunga oleh siswa tunagrahita di slb negeri aceh jaya. skripsi universitas syiah kuala. di bawah bimbingan oleh dr. rida safuan selian, s.pd, m.pd dan ramdiana, s.sn, m.sn. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembuatan karya seni papan bunga serta kemampuan siswa tunagrahita dalam berkarya di slb negeri aceh jaya. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembuatan karya seni papan bunga dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan pola menggunakan benang dan kapur, penusukan bunga dengan pentul, serta penempelan bunga sesuai pola dan warna yang telah ditentukan. dalam pelaksanaannya, proses pembuatan papan bunga didukung oleh kurikulum merdeka serta ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. kemampuan siswa tunagrahita dalam membuat karya seni papan bunga dinilai melalui beberapa aspek, meliputi pemahaman instruksi, keterampilan motorik halus, koordinasi mata dan tangan, kemandirian, kedisiplinan, kerja sama, serta motivasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mampu mengikuti proses dengan baik meskipun masih memerlukan bimbingan intensif dari guru. kualitas karya yang dihasilkan cukup baik dilihat dari aspek kesatuan, komposisi, kerumitan, kesungguhan, dan perkembangan motorik halus. namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, antara lain kesulitan dalam memahami instruksi, keterbatasan motorik halus, kurangnya fokus, serta rendahnya kemandirian dan motivasi belajar. oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih individual, penggunaan metode demonstrasi yang berulang, serta pendampingan intensif guna meningkatkan kemampuan siswa tunagrahita dalam berkarya seni. kata kunci: siswa tunagrahita, seni kriya papan bunga, keterampilan motorik halus, proses pembuatan papan bunga.



Abstract

ABSTRACT Umi Khotimah (2025). The Proses of Making Flower Boards by Students With Mental Disabilities at The State SLB Aceh Jaya. Thesis Syiah Kuala University. Under the Guidance of Dr. Rida Safuan Selian, S.Pd, M.Pd and Ramdiana, S.Sn, M.Sn. This study aims to determine the process of making flower board art and the abilities of students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri Aceh Jaya. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation of students’ activities during the learning process. The results show that the process of making flower board art is carried out through several stages, namely preparation of tools and materials, creating patterns using thread and chalk, pinning flowers with needles, and arranging flowers according to predetermined patterns and colors. In its implementation, the learning process is supported by the Merdeka Curriculum as well as adequate facilities and infrastructure. The abilities of students with intellectual disabilities in making flower board art are assessed through several aspects, including understanding instructions, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, independence, discipline, cooperation, and motivation. The results indicate that most students are able to follow the process well, although they still require intensive guidance from the teacher. The quality of the artwork produced is fairly good, as seen from aspects of unity, composition, complexity, intensity, and the development of fine motor skills. However, there are several obstacles faced, such as difficulties in understanding instructions, limitations in fine motor skills, lack of focus, and low independence and learning motivation. Therefore, more individualized learning approaches, repeated demonstration methods, and intensive assistance are needed to improve the abilities of students with intellectual disabilities in creating art.
