[skripsi universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan wardiah, s.pd., m.bio., dan yaumil istiqlal m nur, s.pd.i., m.pd. aceh tamiang memiliki empat kecamatan yang mempunyai kawasan ekosistem pesisir salah satunya kecamatan seruway. seruway memiliki vegetasi ekosistem pesisir yang beragam, termasuk vegetasi tumbuhan herba dan perdu. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui spesies dan potensi tumbuhan herba dan perdu yang terdapat di kawasan pesisir kecamatan seruway kabupaten aceh tamiang. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian survei eksplorasi atau jelajah dan studi literatur. objek penelitian adalah spesies tumbuhan herba dan perdu yang terdapat dilokasi penelitian. data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui tabel spesies tumbuhan herba dan perdu berdasarkan nama indonesia/daerah, spesies, familia dan stasiun, data terkait potensi tumbuhan berhabitus herba dan perdu berdasarkan nama spesies, familia dan potensi (manfaat). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total spesies yang ditemukan dilokasi penelitian adalah 79 spesies yang berasal dari 30 familia, dari total tersebut diantaranya 46 spesies tumbuhan herba dan 33 spesies tumbuhan perdu. familia herba yang paling banyak ditemukan dilokasi penelitian adalah poaceae, asteraceae dan cyperaceae, sedangkan pada familia perdu yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah fabaceae dan malvaceae. potensi tumbuhan herba di kawasan pesisir kecamatan seruway kabupaten aceh tamiang yaitu sebagai bahan obat herbal, pakan ternak, bahan pangan, bahan kerajinan tangan, bahan kosmetik, tanaman hias dan pewarna tekstil. sedangkan potensi tumbuhan perdu yaitu sebagai bahan obat herbal, pakan ternak, bahan pangan dan tanaman hias. kata kunci: inventarisasi, herba, perdu, potensi.

Diva Nurhami Dilla. (2025). Inventory and Potential of Understory Plants in the Coastal Area of Seruway Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency. [Undergraduate Theses. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under direction of Wardiah, S.Pd., M.Bio., dan Yaumil Istiqlal M Nur, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. Aceh Tamiang has four subdistricts with coastal ecosystem areas, one of which is Seruway Subdistrict. Seruway possesses diverse coastal ecosystem vegetation, including herbaceous and shrub vegetation. The purpose of this study was to identify the species and potential of herbaceous and shrub plants found in the coastal area of Seruway Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach using an exploratory survey (field exploration) method and literature review. The research objects were herbaceous and shrub plant species found at the study sites. The data were analyzed descriptively through tables of herbaceous and shrub species based on Indonesian/local names, scientific names, families, and stations, as well as data related to the potential of herbaceous and shrub plants based on species name, family, and potential (uses). The research results showed that a total of 79 species were found at the study site, belonging to 30 families. Of the total, 46 species were herbaceous plants and 33 species were shrubs. The most commonly found herbaceous plant families at the study site were Poaceae, Asteraceae, and Cyperaceae, while the most commonly found shrub families were Fabaceae and Malvaceae. The potential uses of herbaceous plants in the coastal area of Seruway District, Aceh Tamiang Regency include herbal medicine, animal feed, food sources, handicraft materials, cosmetic ingredients, ornamental plants, and textile dyes. Meanwhile, the potential uses of shrub plants include herbal medicine, animal feed, food sources, and ornamental plants. Keywords: Inventory, Herbs, Shrubs, Potential.
