(2026). gambaran self-compassion pada mahasiswa bk universitas syiah kuala. pembimbing: (1) drs. abu bakar, m.si (2) dr. hetti zuliani, s.pd., m.pd. mahasiswa dalam menjalani kehidupan perkuliahan pasti dihadapkan pada berbagai tuntutan akademik maupun non-akademik yang dapat menimbulkan tekanan psikologis. salah satu aspek psikologis yang penting dimiliki mahasiswa dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan tersebut adalah self-compassion, yaitu kemampuan individu untuk bersikap penuh kebaikan dan penerimaan terhadap diri sendiri ketika mengalami kesulitan atau kegagalan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran self-compassion pada mahasiswa bk universitas syiah kuala. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2022, 2023, dan 2024 dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 172 mahasiswa yang menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala self-compassion yang disusun berdasarkan aspek self-compassion. untuk melihat gambaran self-compassion mahasiswa bk dalam menjalani kehidupan pribadi maupun akademik. berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion mahasiswa bk universitas syiah kuala yang tergolong sangat tinggi yaitu hanya sebesar 6 (3%) mahasiswa, tinggi yaitu 47 (27%) mahasiswa, sedang yaitu 76 (44%) mahasiswa, rendah yaitu 32 (19%) mahasiswa, dan sangat rendah 11 (6%) mahasiswa, dan selfcompassion mahasiswa bk dominan berada pada kategori sedang diikuti tinggi yang menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa bk telah memiliki kemampuan dasar untuk bersikap welas asih terhadap diri sendiri, meskipun masih memerlukan penguatan untuk mencapai tingkat self-compassion yang lebih matang dan konsisten. kata kunci: self-compassion, mahasiswa

Supervisors: (1) Dr. Abu Bakar, M.Si (2) Dr. Hetti Zuliani, S.Pd., M.Pd Students in their college life inevitably face various academic and non-academic demands that can cause psychological stress. One important psychological aspect that students need to possess in facing these challenges is self-compassion, namely the ability of individuals to be kind and accepting of themselves when experiencing difficulties or failure. This study aims to determine self-compassion in Guidance and Counseling students at Syiah Kuala University. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The study population was students from the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024, with a sample of 172 students using a Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a self-compassion scale structured based on self-compassion aspects. To examine the self-compassion of guidance and counseling students in their personal and academic lives, the study findings showed that only 6 (3%) guidance and counseling students at Syiah Kuala University had very high self-compassion, 47 (27%) had high self-compassion, 76 (44%) had moderate self-compassion, 32 (19%) had low self-compassion, and 11 (6%) had very low self-compassion. The majority of guidance and counseling students had moderate to high levels of self-compassion, indicating that they possess a basic capacity for self-compassion, although this still needs to be strengthened to achieve a more mature and consistent level of self-compassion.
