ABTRACT Reni Sulistia. (2026). Enhancing Writing Skills Through Short Animations (An Experimental Study on the 2nd Grade Students of SMAN 5 Banda Aceh). [Undergraduate Thesis. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under the supervision of Dr. Siti Sarah Fitriani, S.Pd., M.A., and Marisa Yoestara, S.Pd., M.A. This research investigated the effect of using short animations on students’ writing skills. The research employed an experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test involving 2nd-grade students of SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The students were given a pre-test before the treatment and a post-test after the implementation of short animations. The instrument used was a writing test assessed through an analytic scoring rubric with content, organization, vocabulary, syntax, and mechanics. The data were analyzed using normality and t-test analysis. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing skills after the treatment (p
