Oriza anggraini, 2026. peran wali kelas dalam pengelolaan konflik antar siswa di smpn 1 darussalam. sripsi, departemen bimbingan dan konseling. fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan. universitas syiah kuala. pembimbing: (1) nurbaity, s.pd., m.ed (2) dr. hetti zuliani, s.pd., m.pd konflik antar siswa merupakan fenomena yang sering terjadi di lingkungan sekolah dan berpotensi mengganggu hubungan sosial serta proses pembelajaran apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. konflik yang tidak ditangani secara tepat dapat berkembang menjadi permasalahan yang lebih besar dan berdampak negatif terhadap kenyamanan belajar siswa. oleh karena itu, diperlukan peran wali kelas sebagai pihak yang memiliki kedekatan langsung dengan siswa dalam mengelola konflik yang terjadi di lingkungan kelas. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran wali kelas serta strategi yang digunakan dalam pengelolaan konflik antar siswa di smp negeri 1 darussalam. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi dengan informan sebanyak delapan orang wali kelas. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran wali kelas dalam pengelolaan konflik antar siswa meliputi sebagai pendengar dan penasihat, agen perujukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling, fasilitator hubungan siswa melalui proses mediasi, pembimbing dalam pembinaan karakter siswa, pengelola kelas, penengah dan pengambil keputusan, serta motivator perubahan sikap siswa. selain itu, strategi wali kelas dalam pengelolaan konflik antar siswa dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pokok permasalahan, menyusun langkah penyelesaian konflik yang sesuai dengan kondisi siswa, mengorganisasi proses penyelesaian konflik dengan melibatkan pihak terkait, serta melakukan evaluasi dan pemantauan terhadap perubahan perilaku siswa setelah konflik diselesaikan. melalui peran dan strategi tersebut, wali kelas dapat membantu meredakan konflik serta menciptakan suasana kelas yang lebih kondusif dan harmonis. kata kunci: konflik antar siswa, peran wali kelas, strategi pengelolaan konflik.

Supervisor: (1) Nurbaity, S.Pd., M.Ed (2) Dr. Hetti Zuliani, S.Pd., M.Pd Conflict between students is a phenomenon that often occurs in the school environment and has the potential to disrupt social relationships and the learning process if not managed well. Conflicts that are not handled appropriately can develop into bigger problems and have a negative impact on students' learning comfort. Therefore, the role of the homeroom teacher is needed as a party who has direct closeness to students in managing conflicts that occur in the classroom environment. This research aims to describe the role of the homeroom teacher and the strategies used in managing conflict between students at SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through structured interviews and documentation with eight homeroom teachers as informants. The research results show that the role of the homeroom teacher in managing conflict between students includes being a listener and advisor, a referral agent to the Guidance and Counseling teacher, a facilitator of student relations through the mediation process, a guide in developing student character, a class manager, a mediator and decision maker, and a motivator for changing students' attitudes. Apart from that, the homeroom teacher's strategy for managing conflicts between students is carried out through several stages, namely identifying and analyzing the main problems, developing conflict resolution steps that are appropriate to the students' conditions, organizing the conflict resolution process by involving related parties, and evaluating and monitoring changes in student behavior after the conflict is resolved. Through these roles and strategies, the homeroom teacher can help reduce conflict and create a more conducive and harmonious classroom atmosphere.
