Praktik money politic masih menjadi permasalahan serius dalam sistem demokrasi indonesia, dan bagamana cara civil society dalam mengurangi praktik money politic pada pemilihan legislatif 2024 di kabupaten bener meriah. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan tantangan yang dihadapi civil society dalam mengatasi praktik money politic pada pemilihan legislatif di kabupaten bener meriah tahun 2024. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara secara langsung dengan narasumber. data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara terstruktur, sementara data sekunder dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi dan literatur yang relevan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan civil society berperan terhadap beberapa aspek penting seperti melakukan pengawasan terhadap berjalannya pemilu, melakukan kegiatan edukatif dan memeberi pendidikan politik, dan membangun kerja sama dengan lembaga pengawas pemilu. dalam penelitian ini civil society menghadapi beberapa tantangan antara lain terbatasnya anggaran dan rendahnya kesadaran dari anggota dalam proses politik. walaupun praktik money politic sudah mengalami penurunan jumlah kasus pada pemilihan legislatif tahun 2024 di kabupaten bener meriah tidak sepepuhnya berasal dari peran civil society di kabupaten bener meriah karena masih banyak dari mereka tidak memiliki kesadaran akan bahaya praktik money politic. kata kunci: politik uang, masyarakat sipil, pemilihan legislatif, demokrasi, bener meriah.

The practice of money politics is still a serious problem in Indonesia's democratic system, and how can civil society reduce the practice of money politics in the 2024 Legislative Election in Bener Meriah Regency. This study aims to analyze the role and challenges faced by civil society in overcoming the practice of money politics in the legislative elections in Bener Meriah Regency in 2024. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Data collection was conducted through direct interviews with informants. Primary data was obtained through structured interviews, while secondary data was collected through documentation and relevant literature studies. The research results show that civil society plays a role in several important aspects, such as monitoring the election process, conducting educational activities and providing political education, and building cooperation with election supervisory institutions. In this research, civil society faces several challenges, including limited budgets and low awareness of members in the political process. Although the number of cases of money politics in the 2024 Legislative Elections in Bener Meriah Regency has decreased, this does not entirely stem from the role of civil society in Bener Meriah Regency, as many of them are still unaware of the dangers of money politic.
