Teungku tsurayya maghfirah (2025). penerapan pembelajaran berbasis student centered learning pada mata pelajaran ppkn di sman 7 banda aceh [skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr. saiful, s.pd., m.si. dan maimun, s.pd., m.a. pendidikan pancasila dan kewarganegaraan (ppkn) memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter dan kompetensi kewarganegaraan peserta didik sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam undang-undang nomor 20 tahun 2003 tentang sistem pendidikan nasional. namun, proses pembelajaran ppkn masih sering didominasi oleh pendekatan teacher centered learning yang berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan siswa serta kurang berkembangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kolaboratif. oleh karena itu, diperlukan penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, salah satunya melalui student centered learning (scl). penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis student centered learning pada mata pelajaran ppkn di sma negeri 7 banda aceh, dan (2) menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis student centered learning pada mata pelajaran ppkn di sma negeri 7 banda aceh. pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. informan penelitian berjumlah delapan orang yang terdiri atas dua guru ppkn dan enam siswa dari berbagai jenjang kelas. teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data dengan teknik triangulasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran ppkn berbasis student centered learning di sma negeri 7 banda aceh telah diterapkan melalui kegiatan diskusi kelompok, presentasi, pemecahan masalah, serta pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang mendorong keaktifan dan kemandirian siswa, meskipun dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan penggunaan metode ceramah pada beberapa kesempatan; (2) faktor pendukung pelaksanaan scl meliputi dukungan sekolah, kompetensi dan motivasi guru, ketersediaan fasilitas pembelajaran, serta keterlibatan siswa, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya meliputi keterbatasan waktu, perbedaan karakter dan kesiapan siswa, serta kebiasaan pembelajaran konvensional yang masih melekat. simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan student centered learning pada pembelajaran ppkn mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kolaborasi siswa apabila didukung oleh perencanaan yang matang dan peran aktif seluruh warga sekolah. saran dalam penelitian ini, (1) sekolah perlu memperbaiki fasilitas pendukung dan memberikan fleksibilitas kurikulum melalui forum berbagi praktik antar guru; (2) guru harus mengembangkan kompetensi scl serta menerapkan diferensiasi pembelajaran guna mengakomodasi keberagaman siswa; dan (3) siswa dapat ditingkatkan keaktifan dan kemandirian belajarnya dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber belajar. kata kunci: student centered learning, pembelajaran ppkn, keaktifan siswa

Teungku Tsurayya Maghfirah (2025). The Application of Student-Centered Learning in Civic Education at SMAN 7 Banda Aceh [Thesis. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Dr. Saiful, S.Pd., M.Si. and Maimun, S.Pd., M.A. Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) has a strategic role in shaping the character and civic competence of students as mandated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. However, the learning process PPKn is still often dominated by a teacher-centered learning approach, which results in low student involvement and underdeveloped critical and collaborative thinking skills. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a student-centered learning approach, one of which is through Student Centered Learning (SCL). This study aims to (1) describe the implementation process of Student Centered Learning-based learning Learning in Civic Education at SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh, and (2) analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of Student Centered Learning-based learning in Civic Education at SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive type of research. There were eight informants consisting of two Civic Education teachers and six students from various grade levels. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification using triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed that (1) the implementation of Student Centered Learning-based Civic Education Learning at SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh has been implemented through group discussions, presentations, problem solving, and the use of learning media that encourage student activity and independence, although in practice, the use of lecture methods was still found on several occasions; (2) factors supporting the implementation of SCL include school support, teacher competence and motivation, availability of learning facilities, and student involvement, while the inhibiting factors include time constraints, differences in student character and readiness, and conventional learning habits that are still ingrained. The conclusion of this study shows that the application of Student Centered Learning in Civic Education learning is able to increase student activity, critical thinking skills, and collaboration when supported by careful planning and the active role of the entire school community. The suggestion in this study is that (1) schools need to improve supporting facilities and provide curriculum flexibility through a forum for sharing practices between teachers; (2) Teachers must develop SCL competencies and implement learning differentiation to accommodate the diversity of students; (3) students can increase their learning activity and independence by utilizing various learning resources.
