Sukira humaira (2026), pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran realistic mathematics education (rme) berbasis etnomatematika terhadap pemahaman konsep lingkaran siswa kelas vi sdn lampeuneurut aceh besar [skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan linda vitoria, s.si., m.sc. dan mislinawati, spd.i rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi lingkaran disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya kontekstual dan kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. pendekatan realistic mathematics education (rme) berbasis etnomatematika dipilih karena mampu mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan situasi nyata serta budaya lokal sehingga membantu siswa memahami konsep secara lebih bermakna. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran realistic mathematics education (rme) berbasis etnomatematika terhadap pemahaman konsep lingkaran siswa kelas vi sdn lampeuneurut aceh besar. pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan jenis penelitian quasi experimental design menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas vi sdn lampeuneurut dengan sampel dua kelas, yaitu kelas vi b sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas vi a sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 32 siswa dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian sebanyak 10 soal yang disusun berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep matematis dan diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan spss versi 31 dengan pengujian hipotesis melalui uji-t independent sample test. hasil uji menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (two-sided p) < 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga ha diterima dan h0 ditolak. dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pendekatan pembelajaran rme berbasis etnomatematika terhadap pemahaman konsep lingkaran siswa kelas vi sdn lampeuneurut aceh besar. kata kunci: realistic mathematics education, etnomatematika, pemahaman konsep lingkaran

The Effect of The Ethnomathematics-Based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach on Grade VI Students’ Understanding of Circle Concepts at SDN Lampeuneurut Aceh Besar [Thesis. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Linda Vitoria, S.Si., M.Sc., and Mislinawati, S.Pd.I. The low level of students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly on circle material, is caused by a learning process that is not yet fully contextual and does not actively involve students. The Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach based on ethnomathematics was chosen because it is able to connect mathematical concepts with real-life situations and local culture, thereby helping students understand concepts more meaningfully. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach on students’ understanding of circle concepts in grade VI at SDN Lampeuneurut, Aceh Besar. A quantitative approach was employed with a Quasi-Experimental Design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all sixth-grade students of SDN Lampeuneurut, with two classes selected as samples, namely class VI B as the experimental class and class VI A as the control class, each consisting of 32 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 10 questions developed based on indicators of mathematical conceptual understanding and administered in the form of pretest and posttest. Data were collected through tests, while data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 31 with hypothesis testing through an independent sample t-test. The test results showed a significance value (Two-Sided p) < 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ethnomathematics-based RME learning approach has a significant effect on students’ understanding of circle concepts in grade VI at SDN Lampeuneurut, Aceh Besar.
