Efektivitas antifungi ekstrak metanol tumbuhan sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) aceh terhadap aspergillus niger abstrak sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) diketahui mengandung metabolit sekunder seperti flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid yang berpotensi sebagai agen antifungi. salah satu fungi yang sering ditemukan di lingkungan dan berpotensi menimbulkan infeksi oportunistik adalah aspergillus niger. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aktivitas antifungi ekstrak metanol tumbuhan sarang semut asal aceh terhadap pertumbuhan aspergillus niger. pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi cakram (disk diffusion) dengan beberapa variasi konsentrasi ekstrak yaitu 6,25%, 12,5%, 25% dan 50%. parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya zona hambat sebagai indikator adanya aktivitas antifungi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol sarang semut tidak mampu menghambat pertumbuhan aspergillus niger, yang ditandai tidak terbentuk zona hambat pada seluruh konsentrasi perlakuan. berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak metanol sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) asal aceh tidak menunjukkan aktivitas antifungi terhadap aspergillus niger melalui metode difusi cakram. kata kunci: antifungi, aspergillus niger, difusi cakram, myrmecodia tuberosa

Abstract
ANTIFUNGAL EFFECTIVENESS OF METHANOLIC EXTRACT ACEH ANT NEST PLANT (Myrmecodia tuberosa) AGAINST Aspergillus niger ABSTRACT Ant nest plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa) is known to contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids, which have potential as antifungal agents. One fungus that is commonly found in the environment and can cause opportunistic infections is Aspergillus niger. This study aimed to determine the antifungal activity of methanolic extract of ant nest plant originating from Aceh against the growth of Aspergillus niger. The test was conducted using the disk diffusion method with several extract concentration variations, namely 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, and 50%. The parameter observed in this study was the formation of an inhibition zone as an indicator of antifungal activity. The results showed that the methanolic extract of ant nest plant was unable to inhibit the growth of Aspergillus niger, as indicated by the absence of inhibition zones at all treatment concentrations. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the methanolic extract of ant nest plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa) from Aceh does not exhibit antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger using the disk diffusion method.
