Abstrak telah dilakukan penelitian tentang komposisi hasil tangkapan bubu kerucut di sungai kali alas kecamatan putri betung kabupaten gayo lues. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan, keanekaragaman hasil tangkapan, tingkat keseragaman hasil tangkapan, dan jenis hasil tangkapan yang mendominasi penggunaan bubu di sungai kali alas, kecamatan putri betung, kabupaten gayo lues. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung di sungai kali alas untuk melihat secara nyata teknik pengoperasian bubu oleh nelayan. data primer diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan lapangan dan kegiatan penangkapan menggunakan metode experimental fishing, yang mencatat jumlah hasil tangkapan serta jenis spesies ikan berdasarkan buku identifikasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi hasil tangkapan di sungai kali alas terdapat komunitas ikan yang beragam dengan dominansi spesies tertentu, terutama ikan sepat dan masheer di kedua lokasi penelitian. nilai indeks keanekaragaman shannon-wiener berada pada kategori sedang (h′ 1,76–1,68), menandakan komunitas yang stabil dan kondisi perairan yang mendukung. indeks keseragaman sangat tinggi (j′ 0,98–0,94), menunjukkan distribusi individu antar spesies yang merata. sementara itu, nilai dominasi relatif rendah (c 0,205–0,185), sehingga dengan dominansi tertinggi pada lokasi kedua akibat dominannya ikan sepat, menggambarkan struktur komunitas yang tetap seimbang di seluruh lokasi penelitian. kata kunci : komposisi, keanekaragaman, tingkat keseragaman, jenis hasil tangkapan yang mendominasi.

ABSTRACT Research has been carried out on the composition of catch from cone traps in the Kali Alas river, Putri Betung District, Gayo Lues Regency. The aim of this research is to determine the composition of the catch, the diversity of the catch, the level of uniformity of the catch, and the types of catch that dominate the use of traps in the Kali Alas River, Putri Betung District, Gayo Lues Regency. Data collection was carried out through direct observation on the Kali Alas River to see in real time the techniques for operating traps by fishermen. Primary data was obtained from field observations and fishing activities using the experimental fishing method, which recorded the number of catches and types of fish species based on identification books. The research results show that the composition of the catch in the Kali Alas River contains diverse fish communities with the dominance of certain species, especially Sepat and Masheer fish in both research locations. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index value is in the medium category (H′ 1.76–1.68), indicating a stable community and supportive water conditions. The uniformity index was very high (J′ 0.98–0.94), indicating an even distribution of individuals between species. Meanwhile, the dominance value is relatively low (C 0.205–0.185), so that with the highest dominance in the second location due to the dominance of the Sepat fish, it illustrates that the community structure remains balanced throughout the research locations.
