Peningkatan efisiensi kinerja bangunan pendidikan merupakan isu strategis dalam pengembangan kampus berkelanjutan, khususnya pada bangunan eksisting kampus yang belum banyak dievaluasi secara terintegrasi menggunakan pendekatan penilaian kinerja lingkungan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja efisiensi bangunan hijau pada gedung fakultas matematika dan ilmu pengetahuan alam (fmipa) universitas syiah kuala sebagai bangunan pendidikan eksisting di provinsi aceh dengan iklim tropis. evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan dua pendekatan, yaitu greenship existing building versi 1.1 sebagai kerangka penilaian kinerja operasional dan manajerial bangunan, serta edge (excellence in design for greater efficiencies) sebagai alat simulasi kuantitatif untuk mengukur efisiensi energi, air, dan material. metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods yang diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, pengukuran teknis, dokumentasi, serta analisis data operasional gedung. hasil penilaian greenship menunjukkan capaian 71 dari total 117 poin atau 60,7% dengan rincian yaitu tepat guna lahan (12/16), efisiensi dan konservasi energi (28/36 termasuk 8 poin bonus), konservasi air (11/20 termasuk 1 poin bonus), sumber dan siklus material (7/12), kesehatan dan kenyamanan ruang (8/20), serta manajemen lingkungan bangunan (5/13). temuan ini menunjukkan penerapan prinsip bangunan hijau yang cukup baik meski masih diperlukan peningkatan pada beberapa aspek. penilaian edge memperkuat hasil tersebut dengan capaian efisiensi energi sebesar 36,54%, efisiensi air 23,66%, dan efisiensi material 26,22%, yang seluruhnya melampaui batas 20%. simulasi upaya perbaikan menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kinerja bangunan dapat dicapai melalui optimalisasi sistem pemanfaatan air, penguatan sistem monitoring konsumsi energi dan air, revitalisasi energi terbarukan yang telah tersedia, serta penguatan kebijakan operasi dan pemeliharaan bangunan. integrasi greenship dan edge terbukti memberikan pendekatan evaluasi yang komprehensif dan seimbang antara aspek teknis dan manajerial. temuan penelitian ini relevan dalam mendukung indikator ui greenmetric serta berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian sustainable development goals (sdgs), khususnya pada aspek energi bersih, pengelolaan air, konsumsi berkelanjutan, dan pengembangan kampus hijau berkelanjutan.



Abstract

Improving the efficiency performance of educational buildings is a strategic issue in the development of sustainable campuses, particularly for existing campus buildings that have not been widely evaluated through integrated environmental performance assessment approaches. This study aims to evaluate the green building efficiency performance of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Building at Universitas Syiah Kuala as an existing educational building located in Aceh Province with a tropical climate. The evaluation employs two approaches: Greenship Existing Building version 1.1 as a framework for assessing the operational and managerial performance of the building, and EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) as a quantitative simulation tool to measure energy, water, and material efficiency. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach based on field observations, technical measurements, documentation, and analysis of building operational data. The Greenship assessment resulted in a score of 71 out of 117 points (60.7%), with detailed results including Appropriate Site Development (12/16), Energy Efficiency and Conservation (28/36, including 8 bonus points), Water Conservation (11/20, including 1 bonus point), Material Resources and Cycle (7/12), Indoor Health and Comfort (8/20), and Building Environmental Management (5/13). These findings indicate a generally good implementation of green building principles, although improvements are still required in several aspects. The EDGE assessment reinforces these findings, achieving energy efficiency of 36.54%, water efficiency of 23.66%, and material efficiency of 26.22%, all exceeding the minimum threshold of 20%. Simulation-based improvement strategies indicate that building performance enhancement can be achieved through optimization of water utilization systems, strengthening energy and water consumption monitoring, revitalization of existing renewable energy systems, and reinforcement of building operation and maintenance policies. The integration of Greenship and EDGE provides a comprehensive and balanced evaluation approach encompassing both technical and managerial aspects. The findings are relevant in supporting UI GreenMetric indicators and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in clean energy, water management, sustainable consumption, and the development of sustainable green campuses.
