Nurhasanah, HUBUNGAN RASIO LDL-C/HDL-C DAN KOLESTEROL TOTAL/HDL-C DENGAN DERAJAT STENOSIS BERDASARKAN HASIL DIGITAL SUBTRACTION ANGIOGRAPHY (DSA) PADA PASIEN STROKE ISKEMIK. Banda Aceh Fakultas Kedokteran,2026

Abstract

Introduction: Lipid imbalance plays a crucial role in atherosclerosis development, yet the association between lipid parameters and angiographically confirmed cerebral arterial stenosis in ischemic stroke remains underexplored in the Indonesian population. Aim: This study aimed to analyze the association between lipid parameters— including total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), triglycerides, LDL-C/HDL-C ratio, and total cholesterol/HDL-C ratio—and the degree of cerebral arterial stenosis measured by Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) in Indonesian patients with ischemic stroke. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at Dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh, Indonesia, from May to October 2025. Fasting lipid profiles, including total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C, and triglycerides, were measured, and the LDLC/HDL-C ratio was calculated. Cerebral arterial stenosis was assessed using DSA. Results: The present study found that total cholesterol, LDL-C, triglycerides, and both LDL-C/HDL-C and total cholesterol/HDL-C ratios increased with stenosis severity, while HDL-C declined significantly (p
