Latar belakang: cedera otak traumatik (cot) sering menyebabkan gangguan ventilasi dan oksigenasi akibat penurunan kesadaran, yang dapat menimbulkan hipoksia, hiperkapnia, serta peningkatan kadar glukosa darah sebagai respons stres metabolik. tindakan intubasi endotrakeal diharapkan dapat memperbaiki ventilasi, oksigenasi, dan menurunkan stres metabolik, namun pengaruhnya terhadap parameter laboratorium belum banyak dievaluasi. penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perubahan analisa gas darah (agd), kadar gula darah (kgd) dan leukosit sebelum dan sesudah intubasi pada pasien cedera otak traumatik di rsud dr. zainoel abidin banda aceh. metode penelitian: ini menggunakan studi observasional analitik dengan desain pretest and posttest control group. sebanyak 30 pasien cedera otak traumatik (cot) yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi diteliti pada periode agustus–oktober 2025. pemeriksaan agd, kgd dan leukosit 30 menit sebelum intubasi dan 60 menit sesudah intubasi. data dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test dengan tingkat signifikansi p



Abstract

Background: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) often leads to ventilation and oxygenation disturbances due to decreased consciousness, which may result in hypoxia, hypercapnia, and elevated blood glucose levels as a metabolic stress response. Endotracheal intubation is expected to improve ventilation, oxygenation, and reduce metabolic stress; however, its effects on laboratory parameters have not been extensively evaluated. This study aims to determine the changes in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, blood glucose levels (BGL), and leukocyte count before and after intubation in patients with traumatic brain injury at dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital, Banda Aceh. Methods: This research employed an analytical observational study with a pretest– posttest control group design. A total of 30 traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients who met the inclusion criteria were examined between August and October 2025.
