MUHAMMAD IRHAMSYAH DIANPUTRA RAMBE, ANALISIS KELAYAKAN USAHATANI BAGLOG INOKULASI BIBIT JAMUR TIRAM PUTIH DI KECAMATAN MEDAN POLONIA. Banda Aceh Fakultas Pertanian,2026

Abstract

oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is an agricultural commodity that is widely cultivated because of its high market demand and its rich antioxidant content. The success of white oyster mushroom cultivation begins with the seedling/spawn production stage, which requires a growing medium or baglog. The baglog business is a promising venture due to the increasing demand for baglogs among farmers who cultivate white oyster mushrooms. Therefore, a study was conducted on the feasibility analysis of baglog farming with inoculated white oyster mushroom spawn in Medan Polonia District, aiming to analyze the feasibility of this baglog farming enterprise. This research was carried out in Medan Polonia District from April to June 2025. The study analyzed the feasibility of the baglog enterprise using primary data from respondents who are white oyster mushroom spawn entrepreneurs in the Besama Farmer Group, collected through interviews and questionnaires, as well as data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), literature reviews, and scientific publications. The variables analyzed in this study were production costs (fixed and variable), revenue, income (profit), and feasibility indicators (R/C ratio, B/C ratio, break-even point for production, break even point for price, and ROI) based on data from one production cycle (30 days). The results showed total revenue of IDR 3,500,000 and income (profit) of IDR 1,781,081, with a cost of production (HPP) of IDR 1,719 per baglog. The feasibility analysis results were an R/C ratio of 2.04, a B/C ratio of 1.04, a break-even production point of 491 baglogs per cycle, a break-even price of IDR 1,719, and an ROI of 13%. These findings indicate that the baglog farming business with inoculated white oyster mushroom spawn is financially feasible and has good prospects for further development. A farming enterprise that generates profits above the break-even point and has a high profit ratio is considered sustainable and promising for the future.
