Latar belakang. remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan mengalami perubahan perilaku dan emosional yang dapat memengaruhi keberhasilan akademik maupun prestasi olahraga. identifikasi dini terhadap masalah psikososial pada remaja berbakat olahraga menjadi penting, mengingat mereka dituntut untuk berprestasi tidak hanya di bidang akademik tetapi juga di bidang olahraga. strengths and difficulties questionnaire (sdq) adalah instrumen skrining sederhana dan terstandar yang banyak digunakan untuk menilai aspek emosional, perilaku, hiperaktivitas, hubungan dengan teman sebaya, serta kekuatan prososial remaja. tujuan. mengetahui hubungan antara masalah perilaku dan emosional yang diukur dengan sdq terhadap indeks prestasi akademik dan prestasi olahraga siswa sma negeri keberbakatan olahraga aceh. metode. penelitian menggunakan desain analitik observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross sectional). sampel penelitian adalah siswa berusia 15–18 tahun yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, dengan total sejumlah responden sesuai perhitungan sampel. data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner sdq dan dokumentasi nilai akademik serta catatan prestasi olahraga. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi untuk menilai hubungan antarvariabel. hasil. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa skor total kesulitan sdq (gabungan masalah emosional, perilaku, hiperaktivitas, dan masalah teman sebaya) memiliki hubungan bermakna dengan indeks prestasi akademik siswa (p



Abstract

Background. Adolescence is a vulnerable period characterized by rapid emotional and behavioral changes that may affect both academic and athletic performance. Early identification of psychosocial problems among talented sports students is essential, as they are required to excel not only academically but also athletically. The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is a simple, standardized screening tool widely used to assess emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity, peer relationship problems, and prosocial behavior in adolescents. Objective. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between behavioral and emotional problems measured by SDQ and the academic as well as sports achievement index of students at the State Senior High School for Sports Talent in Aceh. Methods. The research employed an analytic observational design with a cross- sectional approach. Participants were students aged 15–18 years who met the inclusion criteria, with a sample size determined through statistical calculation. Data were collected using the SDQ questionnaire, school academic records, and documented sports achievements. Correlation tests were performed to determine the association between variables. Results.
