Pendidikan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. pemerintah melalui program kartu indonesia pintar kuliah (kip kuliah) memberi kesempatan bagi mahasiswa dari keluarga kurang mampu untuk menempuh pendidikan tinggi. namun, sebagian penerima belum sepenuhnya menyadari pentingnya kebermaknaan hidup meskipun telah menerima bantuan. mahasiswa juga menghadapi tantangan akademik dan finansial seperti biaya hidup, tuntutan ipk minimum, serta kewajiban lulus tepat waktu. kondisi ini menuntut mahasiswa untuk memahami nilai dan tujuan hidup yang bermakna agar tetap bertahan dan berprestasi. penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan tingkat kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa penerima kip kuliah di universitas syiah kuala. pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan sampel 325 mahasiswa angkatan 2021, ditentukan melalui teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. instrumen penelitian berupa skala kebermaknaan hidup berdasarkan teori bastaman (2007) yang mencakup makna hidup, kebebasan berkehendak, dan kepuasan hidup. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi (34%), sedang (33%), dan sangat tinggi (29%). temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi konselor dalam merancang layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang berfokus pada penguatan kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa penerima kip kuliah. kata kunci: kebermaknaan hidup, mahasiswa, kip kuliah

Abstract
Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources and creating an Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources. Through the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP Kuliah) program, the government provides opportunities for students from underprivileged families to pursue higher education. However, some recipients are not fully aware of the importance of meaningfulness in life even though they have received assistance. Students also face academic and financial challenges such as living expenses, minimum GPA requirements, and the obligation to graduate on time. This condition requires students to understand the values and goals of a meaningful life in order to persevere and excel. This study aims to describe the level of meaning in life among KIP Kuliah students at Syiah Kuala University. The approach used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 325 students from the class of 2021, determined through proportionate stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a life meaning scale based on Bastaman's (2007) theory, which includes meaning of life, freedom of will, and life satisfaction. The results showed that the meaning of life among students was categorized as high (34%), moderate (33%), and very high (29%). These findings can be used as a reference for counselors in designing guidance and counseling services that focus on strengthening the meaning of life among students receiving KIP Kuliah.
