Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh orientasi karir protean terhadap optimisme karir dengan mempertimbangkan adaptabilitas karir serta efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karir sebagai variabel mediasi pada mahasiswa universitas syiah kuala. data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 190 mahasiswa sebagai sampel penelitian yang mewakili populasi. teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling, sementara analisis data dilakukan menggunakan partial least square (pls). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orientasi karir protean, adaptabilitas karir, dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap optimisme karir. selain itu, orientasi karir protean juga berpengaruh terhadap kedua variabel mediasi tersebut, sehingga adaptabilitas karir dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir terbukti berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara orientasi karir protean dan optimisme karir. kata kunci: orientasi karir protean, optimisme karir, adaptabilitas karir, efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir



Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of Protean Career Orientation on Career Optimism by considering Career Adaptability and Career Decision-Making SelfEfficacy as mediating variables in Syiah Kuala University students. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 190 students as a representative sample of the population. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, while data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results show that Protean Career Orientation, Career Adaptability, and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy have a direct influence on Career Optimism. Furthermore, Protean Career Orientation also influences both mediating variables, thus proving that Career Adaptability and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy act as mediators in the relationship between Protean Career Orientation and Career Optimism.
