Keberhasilan budidaya udang vaname (litopenaeus vannamei) sangat bergantung pada kualitas benur, dimana proses transportasi yang tepat berperan penting dalam menjaga kualitas dan tingkat kelangsungan hidupnya. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepadatan terhadap tingkat sintasan benur udang vaname selama transportasi basah dengan sistem tertutup, serta menentukan kepadatan optimal yang mendukung keberhasilan transportasi. penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan kepadatan: 1.500, 2.000, 2.500, dan 3.000 ekor/liter. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan 1.500 ekor/liter (perlakuan a) memberikan tingkat sintasan tertinggi sebesar 99,10%, diikuti oleh 2.000 ekor/liter (93,74%), 2.500 ekor/liter (88,40%), dan 3.000 ekor/liter (82,83%). jumlah padat tebar tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara statistik terhadap tingkat sintasan benur udang vaname (p>0,05). parameter kualitas air selama transportasi tetap berada dalam kisaran normal dan masih dapat ditoleransi untuk mendukung kelangsungan hidup benur. kata kunci : benur udang vaname, sintasan, transportasi



Abstract

The success of Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp farming largely depends on the quality of the post-larvae (PL), where proper transportation plays a crucial role in maintaining their quality and survival rate. This study aimed to analyze the effect of stocking density on the survival rate of L. vannamei PL during closed-system wet transportation, as well as to determine the optimal density that supports successful transport. The study was conducted using four treatments and four replications with stocking densities of 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, and 3,000 PL/liter. The results showed that a density of 1,500 PL/liter (treatment A) resulted in the highest survival rate of 99.10%, followed by 2,000 PL/liter (93.74%), 2,500 PL/liter (88.40%), and 3,000 PL/liter (82.83%). Stocking density did not have a statistically significant effect on PL survival rate (P>0.05). Water quality parameters during transportation remained within the normal range and were still tolerable to support the survival of the PL.
