Kota banda aceh memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor pariwisata yang terus berkembang, terlihat dari meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara setiap tahunnya. kondisi ini mendorong kebutuhan akan fasilitas akomodasi yang memadai, nyaman, serta berwawasan lingkungan. perancangan city hotel di kota banda aceh ini bertujuan untuk menghadirkan hotel yang tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan penginapan bagi wisatawan dan pelaku bisnis, tetapi juga menerapkan prinsip arsitektur hijau sebagai upaya efisiensi energi dan pelestarian lingkungan tropis. pendekatan arsitektur hijau diterapkan melalui strategi desain seperti orientasi bangunan terhadap matahari, pemanfaatan ventilasi alami, penggunaan secondary skin, overstek, serta penerapan material ramah lingkungan. metode perancangan mencakup analisis tapak, kebutuhan ruang, sirkulasi pengguna, serta konsep rancangan yang berfokus pada kenyamanan termal dan keberlanjutan. hasil perancangan diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh penerapan konsep arsitektur hijau dalam bangunan komersial di kawasan perkotaan banda aceh serta mendukung program pemerintah dalam pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. kata kunci: city hotel, arsitektur hijau, banda aceh, efisiensi energi, pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Banda Aceh City has great potential in the continuously growing tourism sector, as indicated by the increasing number of domestic and international visitors each year. This condition creates a demand for adequate, comfortable, and environmentally conscious accommodation facilities. The design of the City Hotel in Banda Aceh aims to provide a hotel that not only fulfills the accommodation needs of tourists and business travelers but also applies the principles of green architecture to promote energy efficiency and the preservation of the tropical environment. The green architecture approach is implemented through design strategies such as building orientation toward the sun, the use of natural ventilation, secondary skin systems, overhangs, and environmentally friendly materials. The design method includes site analysis, spatial requirements, user circulation, and conceptual development focusing on thermal comfort and sustainability. The outcome of this project is expected to serve as an example of applying green architectural concepts to commercial buildings in urban areas of Banda Aceh while supporting the government’s efforts to promote sustainable tourism development.
