Fenomena perubahan gaya berpakaian remaja putri di banda aceh semakin dipengaruhi oleh tren fashion global dan perkembangan media sosial. namun, perubahan tersebut dalam beberapa kasus tidak sejalan dengan nilai-nilai kesopanan yang terkandung dalam norma sosial dan budaya lokal aceh yang berlandaskan pada syariat islam. budaya lokal sendiri merupakan sistem nilai, tradisi, serta kebiasaan yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun dan menjadi identitas suatu daerah. nilai-nilai tersebut berfungsi sebagai penyeimbang antara pengaruh modernisasi dengan upaya pelestarian tradisi yang telah ada. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh norma sosial dan budaya lokal terhadap pengembangan fashion style remaja putri di kota banda aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif (korelasi). populasi penelitian terdiri atas 450 remaja putri berusia 18–24 tahun yang berdomisili di kota banda aceh, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 212 orang yang ditetapkan melalui teknik proportional random sampling. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji analisis deskriptif, uji regresi linier berganda, uji koefisien determinasi, dan uji signifikansi dengan bantuan program spss versi 22. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa norma sosial dan budaya lokal berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan fashion style remaja putri di kota banda aceh. berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linier berganda, diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa norma sosial dan budaya lokal memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap fashion style remaja putri di kota banda aceh. hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis nol (h₀) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (hₐ) diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara norma sosial dan budaya lokal terhadap pengembangan fashion style remaja putri di kota banda aceh. hasil uji signifikansi juga memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05) dengan koefisien determinasi (r²) sebesar 0,232. hal ini menunjukkan bahwa norma sosial dan budaya lokal memberikan kontribusi sebesar 23,2% terhadap pengembangan fashion style remaja putri di kota banda aceh.

The phenomenon of changes in the clothing styles of young women in Banda Aceh is increasingly influenced by global fashion trends and the rapid growth of social media. However, in several cases, these changes are not in line with the values of modesty embedded in the social norms and local culture of Aceh, which are grounded in Islamic law. Local culture itself represents a system of values, traditions, and customs passed down from generation to generation, forming the identity of a region. These values serve as a balance between the influence of modernization and the preservation of existing traditions. This study aims to examine the influence of social norms and local culture on the development of fashion styles among young women in Banda Aceh City. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative (correlational) type of study. The population consists of 450 young women aged 18–24 years residing in Banda Aceh, with a total of 212 respondents selected through the proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression tests, the coefficient of determination test, and significance tests with the assistance of SPSS version 22. The results of the study indicate that social norms and local culture have a significant influence on the development of fashion styles among young women in Banda Aceh City. Based on the results of the multiple linear regression test, the obtained significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that social norms and local culture have a significant effect on young women’s fashion styles in Banda Aceh. The hypothesis testing results showed that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted, meaning there is a significant influence between social norms and local culture on the development of young women’s fashion styles in Banda Aceh City. The significance test also showed a value of 0.000 (< 0.05) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.232, which indicates that social norms and local culture contribute 23.2% to the development of fashion styles among young women in Banda Aceh City.
