[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr. hafnati rahmatan, m.si., dan dra. asiah md, m.p. laboratorium merupakan sarana utama yang mendukung terselenggaranya praktikum. pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa di beberapa sekolah masih menghadapi berbagai kendala. tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa dalam pembelajaran biologi serta faktor efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa dalam pembelajaran biologi di smp negeri kecamatan mesjid raya kabupaten aceh besar. populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 253 peserta didik dan 9 guru ipa yang terdapat di 3 smp negeri yang berada di kecamatan mesjid raya kabupaten aceh besar. sampel penelitian terdiri dari 154 peserta didik kelas viii yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling, dan 9 guru ipa yang diambil secara keseluruhan dari populasi. penelitian digunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. parameter penelitian yaitu efektivitas pemanfaatan fungsi dan pemanfaatan alat laboratorium ipa. hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa dalam pembelajaran biologi di smp negeri kecamatan mesjid raya kabupaten aceh besar sebesar 70,7% untuk responden peserta didik serta 72,2% untuk responden guru ipa. dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa dalam pembelajaran biologi di smp negeri kecamatan mesjid raya kabupaten aceh besar berada pada kategori efektif. faktor efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa yaitu kelengkapan alat, pemanfaatan waktu dan pengelola laboratorium. untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pemanfaatan laboratorium ipa, maka penting untuk merekrut tenaga laboran serta melengkapi sarana dan prasarana laboratorium ipa. kata kunci: efektivitas, pemanfaatan, laboratorium, pembelajaran, ipa

The use of science laboratories in several schools still faces various obstacles. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of science laboratory use in biology learning and the factors affecting the effectiveness of science laboratory use in biology learning at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Mesjid Raya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. The population in this study consisted of 253 students and 9 science teachers from 3 public junior high schools in Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The sample consisted of 154 eighth-grade students selected using proportional random sampling and 9 science teachers taken from the entire population. The research used a quantitative descriptive method. The research parameters were the effectiveness of the utilization of science laboratory functions and equipment. The results showed that the effectiveness of science laboratory utilization in biology learning at public junior high schools in Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, was 70.7% for student respondents and 72.2% for science teacher respondents. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of science laboratory utilization in biology learning at SMP Negeri Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, is in the effective category. The factors affecting the effectiveness of science laboratory utilization are the completeness of equipment, time utilization, and laboratory management. To improve the effectiveness of science laboratory utilization, it is important to recruit laboratory staff and complete the facilities and infrastructure of the science laboratory.
