Penelitian ini mengukur persepsi petani terhadap risiko usahatani cabai merah serta faktor yang memengaruhinya di aceh tengah dan bener meriah. sebanyak 100 petani dijadikan responden melalui metode survei, dengan analisis deskriptif dan regresi logistik biner. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekeringan, hama, penyakit, dan harga jual rendah dipersepsikan sebagai risiko tinggi. faktor kecamatan, akses pinjaman, dan ukuran keluarga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persepsi risiko, sementara usia, pendidikan, pengalaman, jarak sumber air, pendapatan non-pertanian, dan informasi pasar tidak berpengaruh. temuan ini menekankan perlunya peningkatan akses modal dan strategi mitigasi risiko berbasis lokasi untuk mendukung keberlanjutan usahatani cabai merah.

This study aims to measure farmers’ perceptions of risks in red chili farming and analyze the influencing factors in Central Aceh and Bener Meriah. A total of 100 farmers were surveyed using descriptive analysis and binary logistic regression. The results show that drought, pests, diseases, and low selling prices are perceived as high risks. District location, access to credit, and family size significantly influence farmers’ risk perceptions, while age, education, farming experience, distance to water sources, non-farm income, and market information have no significant effect. These findings highlight the need to improve access to capital and develop location-based risk mitigation strategies to support the sustainability of red chili farming.
