Dirmayani. 2025. pengaruh game simulation terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep pembelajaran fisika siswa sma. skripsi. fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas syiah kuala. dibawah bimbingan drs. elmi mahzum, m.i.t. dan fitria herliana, s.pd. m.pd. rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa terutama dalam aspek menjelaskan dan mengklarifikasikan terkait pembelajaran fisika merupakan fenomena yang ditemukan oleh guru. penggunaan game simulation diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa melalui suasana kelas yang lebih hidup serta membentuk sikap keilmiahan dalam diri siswa, sehingga membuat siswa lebih tertarik, aktif dan interaktif yang terlibat langsung dalam proses pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh game simulation terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep pembelajaran fisika siswa sma. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest- posttest control group, melibatkan siswa kelas xi di sma negeri 1 ingin jaya yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas: kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan game simulation wordwall quiz dan kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan game simulation wordwall quiz. data pemahaman konsep diperoleh melalui tes three tier, angket respon dan lembar observasi. kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, dan n-gain. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan game simulation memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dibandingkan tanpa bantuan game simulation. siswa di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan lebih tinggi dalam pemahaman konsep fisika. kesimpulannya, penggunaan game simulation wordwall quiz efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa, terutama pada materi suhu dan kalor dan dapat menjadi media pembelajaran yang inovatif di sekolah. kata kunci: pemahaman konsep, game simulasi, wordwall, fisika.

Dirmayani. 2025. The Effect of Game Simulation on Improving Understanding of Physics Learning Concepts of High School Students. Thesis. The low understanding of student concepts, especially in the aspects of explaining and clarifying related to learning Physics is a phenomenon found by teachers. The use of simulation games is expected to improve student understanding through a more lively classroom atmosphere and form a scientific attitude in students, thus making students more interested, active and interactive who are directly involved in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of game simulation on improving understanding of the concept of physics learning for high school students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest- posttest control group design, involving 11th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya who were divided into two classes: an experimental class using a wordwall quiz simulation game and a control class without using a wordwall quiz simulation game. Concept understanding data were obtained through a three tier test, response questionnaire and observation sheet. Then analyzed using normality test, homogeneity, t-test, and N-gain. The results showed that the use of simulation games had a significant effect on improving students' concept understanding compared to without the help of simulation games. Students in the experimental class showed higher improvement in understanding of physics concepts. In conclusion, the use of wordwall quiz simulation game is effective in improving students' understanding of physics concepts, especially in temperature and heat material and can be an innovative learning media in schools.
