Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi fasilitas pelabuhan perikanan pantai (ppp) labuhan haji di kabupaten aceh selatan serta mengevaluasi peran dan kontribusinya terhadap kesejahteraan nelayan setempat. metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, didukung oleh observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. analisis swot digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman dalam pengelolaan pelabuhan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar fasilitas pokok, fungsional, dan penunjang berada dalam kondisi cukup memadai, namun terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan, seperti kedalaman kolam pelabuhan, sistem navigasi, serta sarana komunikasi dan keamanan. fasilitas seperti tempat pelelangan ikan, cold storage, dan tempat pemasaran telah memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung aktivitas ekonomi masyarakat nelayan. strategi pengembangan pelabuhan perlu diarahkan pada optimalisasi fasilitas yang ada, peningkatan manajemen dan pelayanan, serta kolaborasi antara pemerintah, pengelola pelabuhan, dan masyarakat nelayan. dengan pengelolaan yang baik, pelabuhan ini berpotensi menjadi simpul ekonomi maritim yang berkelanjutan di wilayah pesisir aceh selatan. kata kunci: pelabuhan perikanan, fasilitas pelabuhan, nelayan, swot, labuhan haji

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the condition of facilities at the Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) Labuhan Haji in South Aceh Regency and evaluate its role and contribution to the welfare of local fishermen. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, supported by observation, interviews, and documentation. A SWOT analysis was conducted to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the port’s management. The findings reveal that most of the main, functional, and supporting facilities are in reasonably adequate condition. However, several areas require improvement, such as the harbor basin depth, the absence of navigation systems, and the lack of proper communication and security infrastructure. Facilities like the fish auction center, cold storage, and marketing spaces have contributed positively to local fishermen's economic activities. The development strategy for the port should focus on optimizing existing infrastructure, improving governance and service quality, and fostering collaboration between government, port management, and the fishing community. With proper management and development efforts, the Labuhan Haji fishing port holds great potential to become a sustainable and competitive maritime economic center in Aceh’s western coastal region.
