Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pesantren darul ulum banda aceh dalam menangani kasus bullying di kalangan santri. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap sejumlah informan yang dipilih secara purposif. teori yang digunakan adalah teori tindakan sosial max weber yang menekankan makna subjektif di balik tindakan sosial individu dalam konteks pesantren. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren memiliki peran strategis dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanganan bullying melalui penguatan nilai-nilai islam, pembinaan karakter, serta penerapan aturan yang tegas terhadap perilaku menyimpang. selain itu, pesantren juga memberikan pendampingan psikologis kepada korban, pembinaan kepada pelaku, serta edukasi kepada seluruh santri dan keluarga mereka. penanganan bullying dilakukan melalui tiga pendekatan, yaitu preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. pendekatan preventif diwujudkan melalui ceramah agama dan diskusi kelompok yang menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman. pendekatan kuratif mencakup mediasi dan pemberian sanksi edukatif kepada pelaku, sementara pendekatan rehabilitatif difokuskan pada pemulihan psikologis korban. namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan berbagai hambatan, seperti keterbatasan tenaga pendidik, minimnya fasilitas pendukung, rendahnya kesadaran korban dan pelaku, serta tekanan dari kelompok sebaya. kendala kendala ini menjadi tantangan dalam menciptakan lingkungan pesantren yang aman dan mendukung tumbuh kembang santri secara holistik. kata kunci: bullying, pesantren, santri, tindakan sosial



Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Pesantren Darul Ulum Banda Aceh in addressing bullying among students (santri). The research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and participatory observations with purposively selected informants. The theoretical framework is based on Max Weber’s Theory of Social Action, which emphasizes the subjective meanings behind individual social actions within the pesantren context. The findings reveal that the pesantren plays a strategic role in preventing and handling bullying through the reinforcement of Islamic values, character development, and the enforcement of strict rules against deviant behavior. In addition, the pesantren provides psychological support to victims, rehabilitation for perpetrators, and education for all students and their families. Bullying intervention is carried out through three approaches: preventive, curative, and rehabilitative. Preventive efforts include religious lectures and group discussions aimed at instilling Islamic values. The curative approach involves mediation between the victim and the perpetrator, along with educational sanctions. The rehabilitative approach focuses on psychological recovery for the victims to help restore their confidence and overcome trauma. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited teaching staff, insufficient support facilities, lack of awareness among victims and perpetrators, as well as peer pressure. These obstacles pose significant challenges in creating a safe and nurturing environment within the pesantren for students’ holistic development.
