Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kehilangan minyak (oil losses) dalam proses produksi crude palm oil (cpo) di pt. socfin indonesia kebun seunagan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebabnya. kehilangan minyak merupakan penyebab utama menurunnya rendemen dan efisiensi produksi, yang umumnya terjadi pada ampas press, tandan kosong, dan fat pit. penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium pt. socfin indonesia kebun seunagan, kabupaten nagan raya, selama periode september hingga desember 2023 melalui observasi laboratorium dan wawancara teknis. metode yang digunakan meliputi statistical process control (spc) untuk memantau kestabilan proses serta failure mode and effect analysis (fmea) untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab kegagalan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata total oil losses selama periode tersebut sebesar 7,6%, masih dalam batas maksimum perusahaan. namun, komponen fat pit secara konsisten melebihi ambang batas 0,6%, dengan nilai rata-rata antara 0,79% hingga 0,85%. temuan ini menunjukkan adanya titik kritis dalam proses produksi yang memerlukan perhatian khusus. kesimpulan menyatakan bahwa peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia, perawatan alat produksi, dan pengaturan tekanan screw press yang optimal merupakan faktor penting dalam mengurangi oil losses dan meningkatkan efisiensi serta rendemen produksi cpo. kata kunci: oil losses, cpo, spc, fmea, ampas press, fat pit

Abstract
This study aims to analyze oil losses in the production process of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Socfin Indonesia Kebun Seunagan and to identify the contributing factors. Oil loss is a major cause of decreased yield and production efficiency, typically occurring in the press cake, empty bunches, and fat pit. The research was conducted at the laboratory of PT. Socfin Indonesia Kebun Seunagan, located in Nagan Raya Regency, from September to December 2023 through laboratory observations and technical interviews. The methods used include Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process stability and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify failure causes. The results show that the average total oil losses during the study period were 7.6%, still within the company’s maximum allowable limit. However, the fat pit component consistently exceeded the threshold of 0.6%, with average values ranging from 0.79% to 0.85%. These findings indicate critical points in the production process that require special attention. The study concludes that improving human resource competence, maintaining production equipment such as digester knives, and optimizing screw press pressure are essential factors in reducing oil losses and enhancing the efficiency and yield of CPO production.Keywords: Inventory, EOQ, Safety stock, Reorder point, Order frequency Keywords: oil losses, CPO, SPC, FMEA, press pulp, fat pit
