Selain strain, produktivitas ayam petelur juga dipengaruhi oleh sistem perkandangan. tipe kandang sangat berkaitan erat dengan kenyamanan ayam sehingga dapat menghasilkan produksi telur secara maksimal. tipe kandang yang umum dan banyak berkembang di indonesia adalah kandang tipe open house (oh) dan close house (ch). salah satu perusahaan besar yang bergerak di bidang peternakan dan distribusi telur ayam adalah pt mabar feed indonesia, kabupaten deli serdang, sumatera utara. peternakan ini menerapkan sistem kandang oh dan ch dalam memproduksi telur. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan performa produksi, berat dan komponen telur, serta kandungan bakteri pada telur ayam ras petelur strain isa brown yang dipelihara di dua sistem kandang berbeda, yaitu ch dan oh di pt mabar feed indonesia. penelitian ini dilakukan di peternakan ayam layer pt mabar feed indonesia layer farm, sumatera utara pada bulan mei 2025. analisis komponen telur dilakukan di laboratorium ilmu dan produksi ternak unggas, departemen peternakan, universitas syiah kuala. analisis kandungan bakteri pada telur dilakukan di balai veteriner medan. penelitian ini menggunakan 530.000 ekor ayam layer strain isa brown yang dipelihara dalam 10 kandang oh (total 140.000 ekor) dan 10 kandang ch (total 390.000 ekor) dan telur ayam sebanyak 240 butir, masing-masing 120 butir dari kandang oh dan 120 butir dari kandang ch. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan 2 perlakuan dan 10 ulangan sehingga ada 20 unit percobaan. unit-unit percobaan merupakan kandang ayam layer isa brown, 10 kandang oh dan 10 kandang ch. masing-masing kandang oh memiliki 14.000 ekor, sedangkan masing-masing kandang ch memiliki 39.000 ekor ayam layer per kandang. perlakuan berupa sistem kandang ch dan oh yang digunakan dalam produksi telur. parameter yang diamati meliputi produktivitas telur, bobot telur, konsumsi ransum, massa telur, fcr, berat dan presentase komponen telur, serta jumlah bakteri untuk mendeteksi adanya kontaminasi bakteri seperti salmonella spp. dan escherichia coli. data yang diperoleh ditabulasi, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. hasil analisis uji t tidak memperlihatkan adanya perbedaan yang nyata (p>0,05) pada produksi telur hen day production (hdp), massa telur, dan konversi ransum, serta mortalitas ayam isa brown yang dipelihara dalam sistem kandang ch dan oh. namun, bobot telur dan konsumsi ransum ayam isa brown yang dipelihara dalam sistem kandang ch sangat nyata lebih tinggi (p0,05) pada berat kuning dan kerabang telur ayam isa brown yang dipelihara dalam sistem kandang berbeda, tetapi berat putih telur sangat nyata lebih tinggi di ch daripada di oh. secara persentase tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata pada berat semua komponen telur. hasil analisis laboratorium kesmavet balai veteriner medan memperlihatkan kandungan e. coli, baik di kandang ch maupun oh, adalah kurang dari 10 cfu/g dan kandungan salmonella= negatif/25g. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata tingkat produksi telur, massa telur, konversi ransum, dan mortalitas ayam petelur strain isa brown yang dipelihara di kandang close house (ch) dan open house (oh) di peternakan pt mabar feed indonesia. namun, bobot telur dan konsumsi ransum sangat nyata lebih tinggi di kandang ch. bobot albumen sangat nyata lebih tinggi di kandang ch, namun secara persentase tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata pada semua komponen telur, semua telur, baik dari kandang ch dan oh aman dikonsumsi.

Abstract
In addition to strains, the productivity of laying hens is also affected by the cage system. The type of cage is closely related to the comfort of chickens so that it can produce maximum egg production. Common and widely developed types of cages in Indonesia are open house (OH) and close house (CH) type cages. One of the large companies engaged in chicken egg farming and distribution is PT Mabar Feed Indonesia, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This farm applies OH and CH cage systems in producing eggs. This study aims to compare the production performance, weight and components of eggs, as well as the content of bacteria in eggs of the ISA Brown strain-laying breed chickens raised in two different cage systems, namely CH and OH at PT Mabar Feed Indonesia. This research was conducted at PT Mabar Feed Indonesia Layer Farm's layer chicken farm, North Sumatra in May 2025. Analysis of egg components was carried out at the Poultry Science and Production Laboratory, Department of Animal Husbandry, Syiah Kuala University. Analysis of the bacterial content in eggs was carried out at the Medan Veterinary Center. This study used 530,000 layer ISA Brown strain chickens raised in 10 OH cages (a total of 140,000 heads) and 10 CH cages (a total of 390,000 heads) and 240 chicken eggs, 120 each from OH cages and 120 cages from CH cages. This study used a complete random design (RAL) with 2 treatments and 10 replicates so that there were 20 experimental units. The experimental units are ISA Brown layer chicken coops, 10 OH cages and 10 CH cages. Each OH cage has 14,000 chickens, while each CH cage has 39,000 layer chickens per cage. The treatment is in the form of CH and OH cage systems used in egg production. The parameters observed included egg productivity, egg weight, ration consumption, egg mass, FCR, weight and percentage of egg components, and the number of bacteria to detect bacterial contamination such as Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli. The data obtained was tabulated, then analyzed using the t-test. The results of the t-test analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05) in Hen Day Production (HDP) egg production, egg mass, and ration conversion, as well as mortality of ISA Brown chickens reared in CH and OH cage systems. However, the egg weight and ration consumption of ISA Brown chickens reared in the CH cage system were significantly higher (P0.05) in the yolk weight and eggshells of ISA Brown chickens reared in different cage systems, but the weight of egg whites was significantly higher in CH than in OH. In percentage terms, there was no noticeable difference in the weight of all the egg components. The results of the analysis by the Kesmavet Laboratory of the Medan Veterinary Center showed that the content of E. coli, both in CH and OH cages, was less than 10 CFU/g and the Salmonella content = Negative/25g. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is no real difference in egg production rate, egg mass, ration conversion, and mortality of laying hens of the ISA Brown strain reared in close house (CH) and open house (OH) cages at PT Mabar Feed Indonesia Farm. However, egg weight and ration consumption are noticeably higher in CH cages. The weight of albumen was significantly higher in CH cages, but in percentage terms there was no noticeable difference in all egg components, All eggs, both from CH and OH cages were safe to consume.
