Kemunculan instagram sebagai media sosial yang populer dapat mendorong adanya perubahan dalam individu khususnya pada mahasiswa yang memiliki kepribadian introvert untuk melakukan self disclosure pada second account instagram. second account dimanfaatkan sebagai ruang yang aman untuk berekspresi secara bebas dan mendalam. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepribadian introvert terhadap self disclosure melalui second account instagram pada mahasiswa fakultas ilmu sosial dan ilmu politik (fisip) universitas syiah kuala. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh 120 mahasiswa fakultas ilmu sosial dan ilmu politik (fisip) universitas syiah kuala. hasil uji koefisien determinasi (r²) sebesar 0,381 menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian introvert memberikan kontribusi sebesar 38,1% terhadap self disclosure melalui second account instagram, yang tergolong dalam kategori sedang atau moderat. nilai t-hitung yang lebih besar dari t-tabel (8,517 > 1,98027) dan signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05) mengindikasikan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (h1) diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kepribadian introvert terhadap self disclosure melalui second account instagram. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa kepribadian introvert memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap self disclosure melalui second account instagram pada mahasiswa fakultas ilmu sosial dan ilmu politik (fisip) universitas syiah kuala. kepribadian introvert 38,1% berpengaruh terhadap kecenderungan untuk melakukan self disclosure pada second account instagram. implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah second account instagram berfungsi sebagai media yang memungkinkan individu introvert untuk berinteraksi dan mengekspresikan diri secara lebih bebas, nyaman, dan mengatasi hambatan interaksi sosial secara langsung. kata kunci: kepribadian introvert, self disclosure, second account instagram, mahasiswa, media sosial

The emergence of Instagram as a popular social media platform has contributed to changes in individual behavior, particularly among university students with introverted personalities, encouraging them to engage in self-disclosure through their second Instagram accounts. These second accounts serve as a safe space for freer and deeper self-expression. This study aims to analyze the influence of introverted personality on self-disclosure through second Instagram accounts among students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Syiah Kuala University. The research employed a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires completed by 120 FISIP students. The coefficient of determination (R²) result of 0.381 indicates that introverted personality contributes 38.1% to self-disclosure through second Instagram accounts, which falls into the moderate category. The t-value obtained (8.517) is greater than the t-table value (1.98027), with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This means there is a positive and significant influence of introverted personality on self-disclosure through second Instagram accounts. Therefore, it can be concluded that introverted personality has a positive and significant effect on self-disclosure through second Instagram accounts among FISIP students at Syiah Kuala University. The introverted personality influences 38.1% of the tendency to engage in self-disclosure on second Instagram accounts. The implication of this study is that second Instagram accounts function as a medium that allows introverted individuals to interact and express themselves more freely and comfortably, helping them overcome the challenges of face-to-face social interaction.
