Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan pupuk anorganik, pupuk kandang, dan biochar terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada merah. penelitian ini dilaksanakan di biochar research station, pusat riset biochar dan hutan tropis lestari (dengan ketinggian 3,82 mdpl 5° 34' 5,02" lu, 95° 22' 36,19" bt), universitas syiah kuala, banda aceh. pembuatan biochar embedded dilakukan di laboratorium fisika tanah, departemen ilmu tanah, fakultas pertanian, universitas syiah kuala. penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan mei hingga agustus 2024. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (rak) non faktorial dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 27 satuan percobaan. masing-masing percobaan terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga total unit percobaan tanaman adalah 108 tanaman. adapun faktor yang diteliti adalah kontrol, biochar limbah kayu 10 ton ha-1, pupuk anorganik (urea 75 kg ha-1, kcl 50 kg ha-1, sp-36 50 kg ha-1, pupuk kandang 10 ton ha-1, biochar limbah kayu 10 ton ha-1 + pupuk anorganik, biochar limbah kayu 10 ton ha-1 + pupuk kandang 10 ton ha-1, biochar limbah kayu embedded 10 ton ha-1, biochar limbah kayu embedded 10 ton ha-1 + pupuk anorganik, dan biochar limbah kayu embedded 10 ton ha-1 + pupuk kandang 10 ton ha-1. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada merah. namun, terdapat kecenderungan yang lebih baik pada bobot basah dan kering tajuk tanaman selada merah pada perlakuan biochar limbah kayu embedded 10 t ha-1. kata kunci: pembenah tanah, pupuk anorganik, pupuk organik, sayuran



Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was the effect of the application of inorganic fertilizer, manure, and biochar on the growth and production of red lettuce plants. This research was conducted at Biochar Research Station, Centre for Biochar Research and Sustainable Tropical Forest (3.82 m above sea level 5° 34' 5.02‘ N, 95° 22' 36.19’ E), Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. Embedded biochar production was conducted at the Soil Physics Laboratory, Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. This research started from May to August 2024. This research used non-factorial Randomised Group Design (RAK) with 9 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 27 experimental units. Each experiment consisted of 4 plants, so the total experimental unit was 108 plants. The factors studied were control, wood waste biochar 10 ton ha-1, inorganic fertiliser (Urea 75 kg ha-1, KCl 50 kg ha-1, SP-36 50 kg ha -1, manure 10 ton ha -1, wood waste biochar 10 ton ha -1 + inorganic fertilizer, wood waste biochar 10 ton ha -1 + manure 10 ton ha-1, embedded wood waste biochar 10 ton ha-1, embedded wood waste biochar 10 ton ha-1 + inorganic fertilizer, and embedded wood waste biochar 10 ton ha-1 + manure 10 ton ha-1. The results showed that the treatment did not significantly affect the growth and production of red lettuce plants. However, there was a better trend in the wet and dry weight of the crown of red lettuce plants in the treatment of embedded wood waste biochar 10 t ha-1.
