Jufadli, ANALISIS KANDUNGAN KIMIA DALAM BUBUK KOPI YANG BEREDAR DI BANDA ACEH MENGGUNAKAN LASER INDUCED BREAKDOWN SPECTROSCOPY (LIBS). Banda Aceh Fakultas mipa,2025

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the chemical content of coffee powder circulating in Banda Aceh using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). LIBS was chosen due to its capability for rapid, multi-element, and non-destructive analysis. Coffee samples were obtained from local vendors in Banda Aceh and farmers in Central Aceh. A total of 13 samples were analyzed to determine the elements present and their concentrations, calculated using Calibration-Free LIBS (CF-LIBS). The results of this study show that LIBS was able to detect 17 elements from the 13 samples along with their respective concentrations. Toxic elements such as aluminum (Al), barium (Ba), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), rubidium (Rb), and strontium (Sr) were found in some samples, which, if consumed beyond the recommended daily intake, may pose health risks. This research is expected to contribute to the quality monitoring of coffee products circulating in Banda Aceh. Keywords: coffee, LIBS, CF-LIBS, chemical elements, Banda Aceh
