Abstrak wulan rachmawati (2025). makanan dalam hikayat asai pade: tinjauan gastronomi.tesis. universitas syiah kuala. di bawah bimbingan prof. dr. mohd. harun, m.pd. dan dr. budi arianto, s.pd., m.a. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis makanan dan makanan yang sudah langka dalam hikayat asai pade. metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi. subjek penelitian ini adalah teks hikayat asai pade yang terdapat dalam disertasi doktoral jan julius cornelis hendrik (jjch) van waardenburg yang dipertahankan di rijksuniversiteit te leiden negeri belanda, berjudul de invlued van den landbouw op de zeden de taal en letterkunde der atjehers (pengaruh pertanian terhadap moral, bahasa, dan sastra masyarakat aceh). data penelitian ini adalah baris dan bait dalam teks tersebut yang mengandung kajian jenis-jenis, serta makanan yang sudah langka dalam hikayat asai pade. hasil penelitian ini, pertama, jenis-jenis makanan yang terdapat dalam hikayat asai pade berdasarkan pengkategorian makanan, terdapat 99 data makanan yaitu, (1) sayur-sayuran dibagi menjadi dua (a) sayur buah 16 data dan (b) sayur daun ada 3 data, (2) buah-buahan ada 46 data, (3) rempah-rempah ada 20 data, (4) makanan pokok ada 7 data, dan (5) tanaman perdu ada 4 data. pengkajian gastronomi di dalamnya terdapat sejarah bagaimana tanaman tersebut ada di dunia ini. kedua, dari pengketagorian jenis-jenis makanan tersebut ada beberapa makanan yang sudah langka atau jarang dikonsumsi bahkan sudah tidak pernah didengar lagi oleh masyarakat, terdapat sebelas makanan yang sudah langka. kata kunci: hikayat asai pade, gastronomi, jenis makanan.

ABSTRACT Wulan Rachmawati (2025). Food in Hikayat Asai Pade: A Gastronomic Review. Thesis. Syiah Kuala University. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohd. Harun, M.Pd. and Dr. Budi Arianto, S.Pd., M.A. This study aims to describe the types of food and rare foods mentioned in the Hikayat Asai Pade. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection carried out through documentation. The subject of this research is the text of the Hikayat Asai Pade found in the doctoral dissertation of Jan Julius Cornelis Hendrik (JJCH) Van Waardenburg, defended at Rijksuniversiteit te Leiden, the Netherlands, entitled De Invloed Van den Landbouw op de Zeden, de Taal, en Letterkunde der Atjehers (The Influence of Agriculture on the Morals, Language, and Literature of the Acehnese Society). The data of this study consist of lines and verses from the text that contain references to various types of food, as well as rare or uncommon foods mentioned in the Hikayat Asai Pade. The results of this study are as follows. First, based on the categorization of foods found in the Hikayat Asai Pade, there are 99 food items identified, consisting of: (1) vegetables, divided into (a) fruit vegetables (16 items) and (b) leaf vegetables (3 items); (2) fruits (46 items); (3) spices (20 items); (4) staple foods (7 items); and (5) shrubs (4 items). The gastronomic analysis also explores the history of how these plants came to exist in the world. Second, among these categorized food types, several have become rare, are seldom consumed, or are even unheard of by today's society with a total of eleven rare food items identified.
