[skripsi sarjana. universitas syiah kuala]. di bawah bimbingan tgk. maya silviyanti, s.pd., ma dan nira erdiana, s.pd., m.pd. tindak tutur komisif (commissive speech acts) adalah tuturan (speech act) yang mengikat penuturnya untuk melaksanakan apa yang diucapkan dalam tuturan tersebut. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis dan jenis yang paling dominan dari tindak tutur komisif yang digunakan oleh tokoh-tokoh dalam film the judge. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, di mana peneliti mengumpulkan informasi dari naskah dan dialog dalam film menggunakan teori george yule (1996). peneliti menggunakan jenis-jenis tindak tutur komisif untuk menganalisis dialog dalam film the judge, yaitu janji (promise), ancaman (threat), penolakan (refuse), dan ikrar (pledge). kemudian, peneliti mengklasifikasikan semua tindak tutur komisif yang ditemukan dalam film tersebut ke dalam jenis-jenis tindak tutur komisif. akhirnya, peneliti menemukan 49 data yang merupakan tindak tutur komisif. peneliti menemukan bahwa janji (promise) memiliki 20 data (40,81%), ancaman (threat) memiliki 8 data (16,32%), penolakan (refuse) memiliki 19 data (38,77%), dan ikrar (pledge) memiliki dua data (4,08%). dari jumlah data yang diperoleh, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa jenis tindak tutur komisif yang paling dominan adalah janji (promise) dengan 20 data dan persentase 40,81%, sedangkan jenis yang paling sedikit digunakan adalah ikrar (pledge) dengan dua data dan persentase 4,08%. kata kunci : commissive, qualitative, speech acts, and the judge movie

ABSTRACT Muza Rizki. (2025). Analysis of Commissive Speech Acts in The Judge Movie. [Undergraduate Thesis. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under the supervision of Tgk. Maya Silviyanti, S.Pd, M.A. and Nira Erdiana, S.Pd., M.Pd. Commissive speech acts are speech that bind the speaker to carry out what is stated in the speech. This research aims to analyze the types and the most dominant type of commissive speech acts that used by the characters in The Judge movie. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method, in which the researcher gathered information from the script and dialogue from the movie using George Yule’s theory(1996). The researcher used the types of commissive speech acts to analyze the dialogue from The Judge movie, namely promise, threat, refuse, and pledge. Then, the researcher classify all the commissive speech acts found in the movie. These are classified into types of commissive speech acts. Finally, the researcher found 49 data that are commissive speech acts. The researcher found that promise of commissive speech act has 20 data (40,81%), threat of commissive speech act has eight data (16,32%), refuse of commissive speech act has 19 data (38,77%), and pledge of commissive speech act has two data (4,08%). From the amount of data that has been obtained, the researcher concludes that the most dominant of commissive speech acts is Promise of commissive speech act which has 20 data with a percentage of 40,81% and the less used type of commissive speech act is pledge which has two data with a 4,08% percentage.
