Women's participation in village development is an important element in encouraging sustainable development. The research location was carried out in two villages in Banda Aceh City, namely Gampong Lampulo, Kuta Alam District and Gampong Deah Raya, Syiah Kuala District. The approach used was quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The data collection technique was through a questionnaire with a Slovin formula approach so that the results obtained were 45 respondents for Gampong Lampulo and 45 respondents for Gampong Deah Raya, interviews with community leaders, and direct observation. The results showed that in Gampong Lampulo, the highest participation occurred in the health sector with a participation rate of 84% and the lowest in the tourism sector with a participation rate of 79%. Meanwhile, in Gampong Deah Raya, the highest participation rate was in the economic sector with a participation rate of 82%, and the lowest in the tourism sector with a participation rate of 73%. The GAD analysis shows that women have been active in various sectors, but gender bias and role disparities are still evident, especially in the tourism sector, which is the sector with the lowest involvement in both villages. Meanwhile, the Social Capital analysis shows that in Gampong Lampulo, women play an active role in business groups, educational training, socio-cultural activities, and community-based health services, reflecting the strength of social networks, norms of cooperation, and trust. Meanwhile, in Gampong Deah Raya, women formed an economic network based on collective businesses, were involved in integrated health posts (Posyandu), religious study groups, and cultural preservation activities. The five sectors in both villages show that women's community-based participation is influenced by strong social capital and mutual support between individuals.
