M. Bobby Mirza, ANALISIS BIAYA DAN WAKTU MENGGUNAKAN METODE EVM (EARNED VALUE MANAGEMENT) PADA PROYEK KONSTRUKSI. Banda Aceh Fakultas Teknik S2,2025

Abstract

Earned Value Management (EVM) is an internationally recognized project management method used to measure project performance and progress through integrated cost and schedule analysis. This method enables the calculation of cost and schedule variances, performance indices, and forecasts for project cost and completion time. Construction projects, including the development of the Basic Laboratory Building at Universitas Samudra Langsa, often face challenges such as delays and cost overruns that affect their success. This study aims to analyze the cost and time performance of the project using the EVM approach. A quantitative method was applied by collecting primary data through field observation and secondary data such as the Bill of Quantities, project schedule, and weekly reports. The analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel 2007 and focused on three core EVM indicators: Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), and Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS). The results show an average CPI of 0.95 and an SPI of 0.90, indicating a 5% cost overrun and a 10% schedule delay. The project duration increased from 180 days to 200 days, and the estimated cost at completion (EAC) reached IDR 2,100,000,000, exceeding the initial budget of IDR 2,000,000,000. This study demonstrates that EVM is effective as a project control tool, supporting accurate decision-making and applicable for evaluating other construction projects.
