Cylinder arm merupakan actuator sistem hidraulik yang berbentuk cylinder terletak pada boom excavator. fungsi cylinder arm untuk maju dan memundurkan arm. cylinder arm meliputi komponen cylinder head, tabung silinder (body), piston rod (batang piston), piston, o-ring dan seal, bushing brake, baut pengunci. pergerakan arm dilakukan oleh arm cylinder. sistem gerakan ini diatur oleh katup arm in dan katup arm out. arm akan melakukan gerakan mengangkat jika katup arm out terbuka sedangkan katup arm in tertutup. fluida akan mengalir dari katup arm out dan menekan piston arm cylinder. sedangkan untuk gerakan arm turun, kondisi katup arm in dan arm out berlaku sebaliknya. adapun kerusakan pada cylinder arm berupa tidak adanya tenaga pada saat maju mundurkan arm, dan cylinder arm mengalami perembesan oli pada sela-sela head cylinder. berdasarkan hasil pengamatan cylinder arm tersebut didapatkan kerusakan pada hose hydraulic yang mengalami kebocoran, piston rod yang sudah terkena goresan, o-ring dan seals yang sudah rusak, kotornya cylinder hydraulic, piston yang mengalami goresan. kemudian kerusakan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pengelasan pada hose hydraulic, dan penggantian komponen piston rod, o-ring dan seals, piston, sedangkan untukcylinder hydraulic cukup dibersihkan. kata kunci: cylinder arm, hose hydraulic, piston rod, o-ring dan seals, cylinder hydraulic, piston



Abstract

The ARM Cylinder is a hydraulic actuator in the form of a cylinder located on the boom of an Excavator. The function of the cylinder arm is to move the arm forward and backward. The Cylinder Arm consists of several components, including the cylinder head, cylinder tube (body), piston rod, piston, O-ring and seal, brake bushing, and locking bolts. The movement of the arm is powered by the ARM Cylinder. This motion system is controlled by the Arm In and Arm Out valves. The arm will lift when the Arm Out valve is open and the Arm In valve is closed. Hydraulic fluid will flow through the Arm Out valve and push the piston in the ARM Cylinder. Conversely, to lower the arm, the Arm In and Arm Out valves operate in reverse conditions.Damage to the cylinder arm may include a lack of power when moving the arm forward or backward, and oil leakage around the cylinder head. Based on observations of the cylinder arm, the damage found includes a leaking hydraulic hose, a scratched piston rod, worn-out O-rings and seals, a dirty hydraulic cylinder, and a scratched piston. These issues can be resolved by welding the leaking hydraulic hose and replacing the piston rod, O-rings and seals, and piston, while the hydraulic cylinder only needs to be cleaned.
