Industri kreatif di indonesia terus mengalami pertumbuhan, dengan sektor desain sebagai salah satu kontributor utama dalam mendorong ekonomi nasional. kota banda aceh memiliki potensi besar dalam bidang ini namun belum tersedia fasilitas yang mendukung kegiatan desain secara berkelanjutan. oleh karena itu, perancangan gedung design center diperlukan sebagai ruang kolaborasi, edukasi, pameran, dan inovasi desain. perencanaan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. hasil perencanaan menunjukkan bahwa design center mampu menjadi wadah edukasi, kolaborasi, promosi, dan inovasi desain bagi masyarakat dan desainer. pendekatan eco-design dengan perencanaan yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan, gedung ini diharapkan mampu mendorong pertumbuhan sektor desain di kota banda aceh. kata kunci: design center, industri kreatif, eco-design, banda aceh, arsitektur berkelanjutan

The creative industry in Indonesia continues to grow, with the design sector being one of the main contributors to the national economy. Banda Aceh has great potential in this field but lacks facilities that support sustainable design activities. Therefore, the development of a Design Center is needed as a space for collaboration, education, exhibition, and design innovation. This planning uses a descriptive-qualitative method. The results show that the Design center can serve as a platform for education, collaboration, promotion, and innovation for both the public and designers. With an eco-design approach that is contextual and sustainable, this building is expected to boost the design sector in Banda Aceh.
