Penyakit ginjal merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang terus meningkat di indonesia, termasuk di provinsi aceh. namun hingga saat ini, aceh belum memiliki rumah sakit khusus yang menangani penyakit ginjal secara komprehensif. berdasarkan hal tersebut, dilakukan perancangan rumah sakit nefrologi di aceh besar sebagai fasilitas kesehatan khusus yang mampu memberikan layanan medis terpadu bagi pasien gangguan ginjal. perancangan rumah sakit ini mengusung tema arsitektur bioklimatik, yaitu pendekatan desain yang memanfaatkan potensi iklim setempat untuk menciptakan lingkungan bangunan yang nyaman, hemat energi, serta ramah lingkungan. penerapan konsep bioklimatik dilakukan melalui orientasi bangunan, ventilasi alami, penggunaan material lokal bermassa termal tinggi, pengendalian sinar matahari, serta penyediaan area hijau berupa taman penyembuhan yang mendukung proses pemulihan pasien. rumah sakit dirancang sebagai tipe b, yang memiliki kapasitas dan fasilitas layanan spesialis nefrologi lengkap seperti instalasi hemodialisis, ruang rawat inap, igd, laboratorium, ruang operasi, serta ruang edukasi pasien. analisis tapak memperhatikan kondisi iklim tropis aceh, arah angin, intensitas cahaya matahari, kebisingan lingkungan, dan vegetasi eksisting untuk menghasilkan rancangan yang adaptif terhadap lingkungan sekitar. melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan rancangan rumah sakit nefrologi di aceh besar mampu memberikan layanan kesehatan yang optimal sekaligus menghadirkan lingkungan penyembuhan yang sehat, efisien, dan berkelanjutan, serta menjadi prototipe penerapan arsitektur bioklimatik untuk fasilitas kesehatan di wilayah tropis. kata kunci: rumah sakit nefrologi, aceh besar, arsitektur bioklimatik, hemodialisis, desain ramah lingkungan.

Kidney disease is one of the health problems that continues to increase in Indonesia, including in Aceh Province. However, to date, Aceh does not yet have a specialized hospital providing comprehensive treatment for kidney-related diseases. Based on this issue, the design of the Nephrology Hospital in Aceh Besar was proposed as a specialized healthcare facility capable of offering integrated medical services for patients with kidney disorders. This hospital design adopts the theme of Bioclimatic Architecture, a design approach that utilizes local climate potential to create a comfortable, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly building environment. The bioclimatic concept is applied through careful building orientation, natural ventilation, the use of local high-thermal mass materials, sunlight control, and the provision of healing gardens to support patient recovery. The hospital is designed as a Type B Facility, equipped with specialized nephrology services such as a hemodialysis unit, inpatient care, emergency services, laboratory, operating room, and patient education areas. Site analysis considered the tropical climate conditions of Aceh, including wind direction, sunlight intensity, noise levels, and existing vegetation to produce a design that is environmentally responsive and adaptive. Through this approach, the design of the Nephrology Hospital in Aceh Besar is expected to provide optimal healthcare services while offering a healthy, efficient, and sustainable healing environment, and serve as a prototype for the application of bioclimatic architecture in healthcare facilities within tropical regions.
