Abstrak pemilihan umum 2024 di kota banda aceh merupakan sebagai bentuk demokrasi langsung yang di selenggarakan lima tahun sekali, salah satu kategori pemilih yang terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut yaitu pemilih lansia. jumlah pemilih lansia yang terdaftar dalam dpt (daftar pemilih tetap) yakni pemilih laki-laki 10.523, pemilih perempuan 11.400 dengan total 21.923. mengenai pemenuhan hak politik pemilih lansia di kota banda aceh, masih terdapat kendala yang dialami oleh mereka dalam memberikan hak suaranya. kendala yang dialami pemilih lansia ini seperti aksebilitas dan fasilitas yang belum ramah untuk pemilih lansia, serta kurangnya informasi yang jelas mengenai proses pemilu. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendalami upaya kip kota banda aceh dalam memenuhi hak politik pemilih lansia pada pemilu 2024. penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi chandler. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. berdasarkan hasil penelitian kip kota banda aceh telah melakukan berbagai upaya, seperti melakukan pendataan, melakukan sosialisasi pemilih, kerjasama dengan organisasi/lembaga nonformal, dan menyediakan aksebilitas sarana dan prasarana untuk pemilih lansia. adapun kendala dalam memenuhi hak politik pemilih lansia masih menjadi permasalahan signifikan yang dihadapi oleh kip kota banda aceh. beberapa faktor kendala tersebut seperti sikap apatis yang ditunjukkan oleh pemilih lansia, kurannya dukungan dari komunitas, dan keterbatasan anggaran yang dialami oleh kip kota banda aceh membatasi kemampuan lembaga untuk menyelenggarakan program-program yang dirancang khusus untuk mendukung pemilih lansia. kata kunci: kip kota banda aceh, hak politik, pemilih lansia.

ABSTRACT The 2024 General Election in Banda Aceh City is a form of direct democracy held every five years, one category of voters involved in the activity is elderly voters. The number of elderly voters registered in the DPT (Permanent Voters List) is 10,523 male voters, 11,400 female voters with a total of 21,923. Regarding the fulfillment of the political rights of elderly voters in Banda Aceh City, there are still obstacles experienced by them in exercising their voting rights. The obstacles experienced by these elderly voters include accessibility and facilities that are not yet friendly to elderly voters, as well as the lack of clear information regarding the election process. The purpose of this study is to explore the efforts of the Banda Aceh City KIP in fulfilling the political rights of elderly voters in the 2024 Election. This study uses Chandler's Strategy theory. The method used in this study is the Qualitative method. Based on the results of the study, the Banda Aceh City KIP has made various efforts, such as conducting data collection, conducting voter socialization, collaborating with non-formal organizations/institutions, and providing accessibility to facilities and infrastructure for elderly voters. The obstacles in fulfilling the political rights of elderly voters are still a significant problem faced by the Banda Aceh City KIP. Some of these obstacles include apathy shown by elderly voters, lack of support from the community, and budget constraints experienced by the Banda Aceh City KIP, which limit the institution's ability to organize programs specifically designed to support elderly voters.
