Fahrul Rizal, AN ANALYSIS OF LINE.AREQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN ELECTRICITY USED AND REAL GRDP IN ACEH. Banda Aceh Program Studi Magister Ilmu Ekonomi,2011

This research investigates a linear equilibrium of electricity used and real gross regional domestic product (grdp) in aceh. the yearly data is employed in order to conduct the following tests: unit root test, co-integration test, and vecm causality test. firstly, unit root test reveals the data stationary, whether it is at level, first difference or n-order difference; moreover, the knowledge of stationary is important for vecm causality est. secondly, co-integration test exposes long run equilibrium between the two variables; furthermore, the existing of long run equilibrium implies causality between them. thirdly, vecm causality test is conducted to divulge a linear relationship between electricity used and real gross regional domestic product. the test finds that electricity used (ect) and real gross regional domestic product (ryc) are co-integrated so that it is useful to reparametrize the model in the equivalent vecm form for testing the causality; moreover, the causality tests show that the two variables have a bi. directional relationship. expected increases in output of af(t to aryc and of aryc to aect are respectively 0.36 to 19.03 (million idr per mwh) and 0.04 t0 0.07 (mwh per million 1dr). to understand how electricity affects real grdp, the concept of ideas would be employed to this express this ways. ideas describe about suggestions or plans which come from skilled trained people; as result from education or experience_. these ideas are nor-rivalrous so that many people can use it at the same time and can be found in books. journals, manuals and papers and reports. as soon as the ideas are translated into tools, better tools allow production of more and high quality goods will be developed; consequently, application of the better tools will improve real grdp. for examples: large drills and shovels in mining and quarrying; electric streamers in clothing/garment industry; indoor concrete saws, grinders, and cutters in building and construction; and others miscellaneous equipments which have improved quality and quantity of products. in short, besides enriching the study in energy -economics, this study also hopes that the information provided may contribute to the more focusing efforts on extending analysis related to electricity in aceh
