Efektivitas penggunaan eye mask dan earplugs terhadap status hemodinamik dan kualitas tidur pasien di ruang high care unit rumah sakit umum daerah dr. zainoel abidin abstrak tidur berkualitas sangat penting untuk mendukung pemulihan pasien di high care unit (hcu). lingkungan hcu yang bising dan terang seringkali menyebabkan gangguan tidur, yang dapat memengaruhi status hemodinamik pasien. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan eye mask dan earplugs terhadap status hemodinamik berupa tekanan darah sistolik, tekanan darah diastolik, frekuensi nafas, frekuensi nadi, saturasi oksigen dan kualitas tidur pasien. penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimental non-equivalent control group design. populasi penelitian yaitu pasien yang dirawat di hcu. sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol masing-masing sebanyak 34 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. parameter yang diukur dievaluasi sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan kuesioner richards-campbell sleep questionnaire (rcsq) dan lembar observasi. analisis data menggunakan uji parametrik (dependent t-test, independent t-test) dan non-parametrik (wilcoxon dan mann whitney u-test). hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan eye mask dan earplugs berpengaruh signifikan dalam menurunkan tekanan darah diastolik (p

Abstract
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EYE MASK AND EARPLUG USE ON HEMODYNAMIC STATUS AND SLEEP QUALITY IN PATIENTS IN HIGH CARE UNIT (HCU) OF dr. ZAINOEL ABIDIN GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT High-quality sleep is essential to support the recovery of patients in the High Care Unit (HCU). However, the HCU environment, which is often noisy and brightly lit, frequently leads to sleep disturbances that can negatively impact patients’ hemodynamic status. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using eye masks and earplugs on hemodynamic parameters, including systolic and diastolic blood pressure, respiratory rate, pulse rate, oxygen saturation, and sleep quality. A quantitative study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The study population consisted of patients admitted to the HCU, and the sample was divided into intervention and control groups, each comprising 34 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected before and after the intervention using the Richards-Campbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ) and observation sheets. Statistical analysis was performed using both parametric tests (dependent t-test, independent t-test) and non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U-test).
