Perancangan convention and exhibition centre di kota banda aceh (tema: arsitektur high -tech) abstrak mice (meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition) merupakan sektor bisnis yang berkontribusi tinggi secara ekonomi terlebih untuk negara berkembang termasuk di indonesia. provinsi aceh bisa menjadi salah satu daerah di indonesia yang berpotensi menjadi destinasi wisata dengan tujuan mice. dengan meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke aceh, maka industri pariwisata menjadi sangat penting dalam mengelola dan mengembangkan bisnis mice. salah satu cara yang untuk meningkatkan sektor mice yaitu dengan menyediakan fasilitas seperti meeting room, convention room, exhibition room dan berbagai fasilitas penunjang seperti fasilitas komersil. maka dari itu, diperlukan sebuah bangunan convention and exhibiton centre di kota banda aceh. sistem struktur biasanya hanya berfungsi sebagai sumber kekuatan bangunan dan ditutupi dengan elemen-elemen estetika. namun pada perancangan ini, sistem struktur dan sirkulasi dapat diekspos secara terbuka sebagai fungsi elemen estetika. tema ini juga lebih mengutamakan efisiensi dan fungsi bangunan dengan penggunaan teknologi modern dan keterbukaan terhadap pencahayaan alami. kata kunci: mice, covention, exhibition, arsitektur high-tech

DESIGN OF CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE IN THE CITY OF BANDA ACEH (Theme: High-Tech Architecture) ABSTRACT MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) is a business sector that contributes highly economically, especially for developing countries including Indonesia. Aceh Province can be one of the areas in Indonesia that has the potential to become a tourist destination with MICE destinations. With the increasing number of tourists visiting Aceh, the tourism industry is very important in managing and developing the MICE business. One way to improve the MICE sector is to provide facilities such as meeting rooms, convention rooms, exhibition rooms and various supporting facilities such as commercial facilities. Therefore, a Convention and Exhibiton Center building is needed in Banda Aceh City. The structural system usually only functions as a source of building strength and is covered with aesthetic elements. But in this design, the structure and circulation system can be exposed openly as a function of aesthetic elements. This theme also prioritizes the efficiency and function of the building with the use of modern technology and openness to natural lighting.
