Jembatan merupakan infrastruktur vital yang harus memiliki ketahanan struktural optimal untuk menjamin keselamatan dan keberlanjutan operasional. salah satu ancaman utama pada struktur baja jembatan adalah korosi, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan ketebalan material dan kegagalan struktural. penelitian ini mengevaluasi sisa umur pakai (remaining life assessment, rla) pada baja struktur h-beam jembatan cafe apung pt medco e&p malaka menggunakan metode ultrasonic thickness gauge (utg). pengukuran dilakukan pada 40 titik di top flange, bottom flange, dan web flange. hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa web flange memiliki remaining life terkecil dengan laju korosi tinggi, terutama di zona kanan (0,57 mm/tahun) dan tengah (0,56 mm/tahun), dengan remaining life hanya 9 tahun. sementara itu, bottom flange di zona tengah memiliki laju korosi terendah (0,06 mm/tahun) dengan remaining life hingga 203 tahun. faktor utama penyebab korosi adalah siklus basah-kering akibat atmosfer lingkungan sekitar. zona kanan mengalami laju korosi lebih tinggi akibat tingginya kelembaban dan kurangnya ventilasi. untuk memperpanjang umur pakai struktur, direkomendasikan strategi mitigasi seperti pelapisan ulang anti-korosi, inspeksi rutin menggunakan ndt, pembersihan endapan garam, serta peningkatan sistem drainase. implementasi strategi ini akan membantu mempertahankan keandalan jembatan, memperpanjang umur pakai baja, serta meminimalkan risiko kegagalan struktural akibat korosi.



Abstract

Bridges are vital infrastructure that must possess optimal structural resilience to ensure safety and operational continuity. One of the main threats to steel bridge structures is corrosion, which can lead to a reduction in material thickness and structural failure. This research evaluates the Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) of the H-Beam structural steel of the Cafe Apung Bridge at PT Medco E&P Malaka using the Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge (UTG) method. Measurements were taken at 40 points on the Top Flange, Bottom Flange, and Web Flange. The analysis results show that the Web Flange has the smallest remaining life with a high corrosion rate, especially in the right zone (0.57 mm/year) and the middle zone (0.56 mm/year), with a remaining life of only 9 years. Meanwhile, the Bottom Flange in the middle zone has the lowest corrosion rate (0.06 mm/year) with a remaining life of up to 203 years. The main factor causing corrosion is the wet-dry cycle due to the surrounding atmospheric environment. The right zone experienced a higher corrosion rate due to high humidity and lack of ventilation. To extend the service life of the structure, mitigation strategies such as anti-corrosion recoating, routine inspections using NDT, cleaning of salt deposits, and improvement of the drainage system are recommended. The implementation of these strategies will help maintain the reliability of the bridge, extend the service life of the steel, and minimize the risk of structural failure due to corrosion.
