Pengaruh pemberian ekstrak hipofisa sapi terhadap peningkatan kualitas spermatozoa tikus putih abstrak peningkatan kualitas spermatozoa dapat dilakukan melalui pemberian hormon gonadotrophin releasing hormone (gnrh). oleh karena itu, diduga bahwa peningkatan kualitas spermatozoa dapat juga dilakukan secara langsung melalui pemberian follicle stimulating hormone (fsh) dan luteinezing hormone (lh) yang dihasilkan oleh hipofisa anterior. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan kualitas spermatozoa setelah pemberian ekstrak hipofisa sapi (ehs) pada tikus putih. dalam penelitian ini digunakan 35 ekor tikus wistar jantan dengan bobot badan 180-220 g. seluruh tikus diadaptasikan selama dua minggu. tikus dibagi ke dalam tujuh kelompok perlakuan (masing-masing n=5), yakni p0 (kontrol), tikus yang diinjeksi dengan nacl 0,9% selama 1 minggu; p1; p2; p3; p4; p5; dan p6 yakni tikus yang diinjeksi dengan 0,05 ehs dengan durasi waktu masing-masing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, dan 6 minggu. masing-masing kelompok diinjeksi tiga kali dalam seminggu. setelah perlakuan selesai, tikus dieutanasi dengan menggunakan zoletil 40 mg/kg bobot badan. data dianalisis dengan analisis varian satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan. pemberian ehs berpengaruh signifikan pada konsentrasi, motilitas, dan abnormalitas spermatozoa (p

Abstract
THE EFFECT OF BOVINE PITUITARY EXTRACT ADMINISTRATION ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF SPERMATOZOA QUALITY IN WHITE RATS ABSTRACT The improvement of sperm quality can be achieved through the administration of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Therefore, it is suspected that sperm quality can also be directly enhanced through the administration of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which are produced by the anterior pituitary. This study aims to determine the improvement in sperm quality after the administration of bovine pituitary extract (BPE) in white rats. In this study, 35 male Wistar rats weighing 180–220 grams were used. All rats were acclimated for two weeks before the experiment. The rats were divided into seven treatment groups (n = 5 per group) as follows: P0 (control), which received an injection of 0.9% NaCl for one week; and P1–P6 (treatment groups), which were injected with EHS for durations ranging from one to six weeks according to their respective groups (P1 received EHS injections for one week, P2 for two weeks, and so on).The dosage of BPE administered per injection was 3 IU/rat, equivalent to 0.05 ml of BPE. Each group received injections three times/week. After the treatment period, the rats were euthanized using Zoletil at a dose of 40 mg/kg body weight. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The administration of EHS had a significant effect on sperm concentration, motility, and abnormality rates (P < 0.05). The highest sperm concentration was observed in P6 (1098 ± 548.01), the highest motility was recorded in P1 (50.23 ± 4.91), and the lowest abnormality rate was found in P2 (9.25 ± 3.28).It can be concluded that the administration of bovine pituitary extract in male white rats can improve sperm quality. With the best significance results, namely in group P6 for concentration parameters, group P1 for motility parameters and group P2 for abnormality parameters.
